Anyone tried Leopold keyboards, especially 60-65% bluetooth? How are they like compared to Filco, Keychron, Ducky, etc.?

Based on my research, people rank Leopold among the top quality prebuild keyboards along with Filco and Ducky.

Keychron is decent and possibly the best value for quality vs cost, wasted that their keycaps are ABS. Q1 & Q2 looks interesting though

Leopold makes very nice PBT keycaps.

does anyone how this wired/Bluetooth switch works?

finally solved my slider problem by replacing it. got the solution from FB group repair kopitiam and bought the mini slider from AliExpress.

SG$ 1.53 31%OFF | 20pcs 7 Pin Mini Slide Switch On-OFF 2Position Micro Slide Toggle Switch Miniature Horizontal Slide Switch SMD

bought a soldering kit, slider, flux, paste, thinking of practicing the soldering, before going ahead with the replacement. but due to CNY, everything was delayed. the moment the mini slider came, I just heat gun swapped the slider, and surprisingly it works well, without using flux or new paste

I think I should get a mini heat gun or header, as my heat gun was too big and it melted some of the nearby component.

not much Thai script keycap around.

got the keyboard from this shop

cheaper than Mojo68 i must say.....
if you think iqunix is expensive.... then the mojo68 is VERY expensive.....
Mojo68 is too expensive.

Quite interested in Leopold but at that price, perhaps can try full custom with PBT or ABS doubleshot keycaps. The NJ80 or Keychron Q2 barebone looks interesting to mod.

sharing my recent mod

got poisoned in this thread somewhere on replacement cables, but i'm using a filco majestouch 2 keyboard which is still going strong/i am not keen to change

most replacement cable uses usb type c plug and play, and after multiple messages on taobao, one seller was willing to do it for me
paid around S$25 if i remember correctly, inclusive of air freight. and i shall let the pics do the talking

With current reasonably good kits like tm680 and mw65. Would custom or off the shelf is better?
it's hard to find wireless mech kb with QMK/VIA support.

I read that it's due patent licensing issue and QMK is open source.
I am into silent keys now so not many off-the-shelf keyboards offers cherry or gateron pink. The known barebone manufacturers also have limited wireless connectivity options like tofu65 or bakeneko. Any recommendations? Preferably with 2.4.

Those are QMK KB, so you can forget abt getting wireless functionality.

Look at NJ80

How's the build for NJ80? As good as Q2? A bit hesitant due to the seldom-used function row.
Not as good as Q2 since it's plastic frame with steel plate, it's considered a budget option for the much loved GMMK Pro

Another budget option is RK84, prebuild.

Needing 2.4Ghz wireless is a problem, I also have trouble looking for a wireless bluetooth full aluminum kb .

u mean if QMK is usually no wireless?
Most customs use QMK/VIA open source software for their kb.

The software does not have licensing for bluetooth and other wireless technologies.

That's why the Keychron Q1 and Q2 are only wired KB.

If you want wireless functionalities, your options are greatly reduced.

Better off getting pre-build instead.

As I need dedicated 2.4 connection, I suppose no option but to choose the entry-level boards out there.

Plenty to choose from like NJ80, VN66, TM680 and IK75. Any recommendations?
