Why so many people want to come live and work in Singapore?

I don’t understand leh. I go to work my supervisor always give me black face. Yet so many people bribe their way into Singapore. What is so attractive about Singapore? Look at the MRT is overflowing with people going to office during the peak hours.

You can try to live in Bangladesh for 10yrs, Vietnam for 10yrs and Philippines for 10yrs then come back and do a comparison on the earning power + standard of living.

asked my Filipino corlick what he liked about working here

he said even with the rent and other costs that are higher factored in, it is still more than worth it

another went back after project ended then found a perm job here

Please lor, I think need to do a check on recruitment agencies. They could be the source of the problem.

Cos growth in their other countries is slowing down. Korea and Japan face problems of having so many jobless graduates so our country open legs for these guys. And basically which other country in Asia is international? Japan, Korea not really. Hong Kong going down the drain. Malaysia no spending power. Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand more domestic focused etc

I understand they are from third world countries. But they come here snatch my rice bowl. Now I have problem finding job with decent Salary. The salary is not increasing for Singaporeans is because of cheap foreign labour. Employers could easily displace a Singaporean with a foreigner from their own country.

I think so cos around 20% can get into JC for the whole cohort and that is the placeholder for local uni slots…but for those that didn’t get local uni these always private and overseas options…
