Ok i had a listen to Buildzoid's Livestream this morning and these are the boards he recommended for AM5

1. ASRock B650M-HDV
(Cheap motherboard, should work with 7950X, great cheap board for 7800X3D)
2. ASRock B650E PG Riptide WiFi
(Cheapest motherboard with PCIe Gen5 x16, 9 USB-A ports, Gen3 x4 from CPU far enough from even 4 slot GPUs)
3. ASRock B650 Livemixer
(a lot of USB ports, more PCIe slots)
4. Asus B650E ProArt
(Cheapest option with x8/x8 support)
5. ASRock X670e PG Lightning
(a lot of USB ports, more PCIe slots, Cheapest 4 M.2 board, PCIe Gen5 x16 with Gen4 x4 from CPU)
6. Asus Strix B650E-E
(Cheapest option with POST code)
7. Gigabyte B650E Aorus Master
(Cheapest motherboard with external BCLK, POST code)
8. MSI X670E Carbon
(x8/x8 with POST code, only lacks external BCLK)
9. Asus X670E ProArt
(10GB LAN, x8/x8, Thunderbolt, no POST code)
9. ASRock X670E Taichi
(x8/x8, POST code, Thunderbolt, external BCLK)
10. MSI X670E Ace
(basically does pretty much everything)

Yea as I said I felt ASRock is the winner this time :s13:

Asrock was my 1st choice, cheap and good and recommended by many reviewers but a lot of post of ppl with issues with this board.

Now realise that these reviewers may have been given golden samples, which is understandable, cause nobody will send out faulty samples.. Every reviewer no issues with EXPO.

I also realize, lots of ppl complain online does not mean it a wide spread issue.... Like the 12vhpwr melting issue and now this high SOC issue... Seems like not a very wide spread issue (ofcourse catastrophic)

My impression is based on Buildzoid (who is mostly given Gigabyte boards and buys all the ASRock boards himself, I don't think he has a MSI X670E board yet though he wants the Carbon, and he had a X670E Gene which killed his first 7950X)

I think he was testing the ASRock B650M-HDV he bought yesterday and was pretty impressed by it, hence it is in the recommendation list

Sometimes EXPO/XMP depends on BIOS revision, at stock the mobo doesn't quite work right with my RAM but after updating to latest BIOS it works fine

Did asrock restore ECC UDIMM support? iirc they had it listed on their site before removing it after the 2nd or 3rd bios release.

Creators are similar to regular consumers, with small sample sizes and initial impressions of the product. They may not be able to identify which products have widespread issues.

Many widespread failures are not known to the public.

Some people experience their product failing twice in one year, yet many of them may believe they are just unlucky until someone they know who uses the same product experiences the same problem.

Apparently, insiders in the industry have already been aware of all these widespread issues for months or years before it's publicly known :s13:

See the HDD thread made recently? People are shocked to see that HDDs, on average last < 2 years, but anyone like myself that worked in the RMA department already know that it is the norm. If you see all the PC recommendation threads, I always say to go for SSD instead, and will always leave a few hints on which to pick. I knew this long ago but didn't state the real reason to avoid debates with believers, it will just end up wasting my time.

A lot of people will think components these days can't be that bad, and technology is advanced n strong now bla bla bla.. :s13:.. tell them the truth they won't believe it, but the creator makes a video, and suddenly it becomes a critical problem LOL.

i noted you got amory crate running also, maybe disrupt the hwinfo.

just run 1 monitoring software usually. i rather uninstall amory crate and disable in bios amory crate and myasus, think option is somewhere in the right most part

asus got set up a webpage to uninstall their bloatware :o

But I used the amory crate to set the fan curve lor...

Looks like intermittent spikes which isn't bad per se

I think you might be right on the Armory Crate... yesterday I tried not opening it.. and just run HWINFO monitoring with the graph on the SOC Voltage.. and no weird fluctuation reading at all. Doing the same thing today to monitor to see if the weird readings came out.

Yeah I was looking for USB 4 port... was looking between ASUS and MSI.... and ASUS have ProArt and CrossHair Hero which is about $230+ price difference... and MSI have MEG ACE which is $340+ more expensive than the ProArt I bought, not to mention it is E-ATX form which cause some issues even if your casing support it.

I think you might be right on the Armory Crate... yesterday I tried not opening it.. and just run HWINFO monitoring with the graph on the SOC Voltage.. and no weird fluctuation reading at all. Doing the same thing today to monitor to see if the weird readings came out.

wonder if you still got spike without amroy crate? :o

my fellow amdbro, have faith in asus and amd to sort this out....that they will rma if spoiled :o

gamernexus pattern now more than badminton.
miw will call them like oppositions only know fault findings, and not fact findings, give no solutions.

unbearable to watch gn first voltage video, machiam like ET COI make selective leading tests to arrive at their narratives bashing. asus become caught llst like prata singh :o
