If I want short term, would be Hong Leong Finance 3.28% for 8 months or ocbc 3.5% for 6 months or this new GE plan, 3.5% for 1y. Still deciding which one.
If you are firm of locking up the cash for 1 year, take the highest and longest possible. Interest rate is likely going to continue falling gradually.

Which OCBC product can get 3.5% for 6 months? I saw OCBC Time Deposit is 2.7% for 6 months with minimum placement amount of $30,000.

Both got their own good point.but dividend may end up higher than no participation?both are guaranteed capital?
Nope. Non-participating need not be capital gauranteed. You need to see the BI table. Some plans even after 20 yrs when the tenure ends, your guaranteed sum is still less than capital put in.

Anyone applied this ?

5.25%

Retailer get any ?

https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/co...petual-capital-securities-first-callable-2028

This deal has an order book of more than S$2.1 billion, across more than 62 accounts, representing 2.5 times oversubscription, which UOB said is a “a display of a well-diversified investor base and granular order book”.

The majority of, or 85 per cent of the notes were allocated to private banks/securities houses; fund managers/insurance took 13 per cent; while banks/hedge funds/corporates took 2 per cent,

OCBC, DBS will have this ?

Here got many rich kia.

250K is small potato. dont underestimate people here and these people dont buy 1 unit of property but
purchase the whole block of condo with no need for a bank loan
I believe if one has lotsa 250K don't think they will surf this forum for lobang. They most likely has some dedicated RM or financial advisor to advise them and inform them of lobang. Some lobang are basically off limits to retail with low capital so it will benefit these rich ppl more. A good e.g is the just recently concluded Singlife endowment which really benefit ppl with lotsa monies as their applications are submitted first.

Only ppl with limited capital (like me) surf this and other forum searching for lobang to stretch my every dollar further.

The GE 3.5% for 1 year looks good. Tbills of this similar rate is for 6 mths only.
