Just went to sub 1+1. As expected, ask the ComCenter staff about bridged ports. No one know anything about it.
Awesome, thank you for the information! You do not need to ask them to do anything.
SingTel 1+1 plan will come with one ONR Port (I believe it is Port 4) bridged and the other three ports not bridged.
Connect your new RT-AX86U to the bridged port and configure it as per normal in router mode (no need VLAN settings). All features of the RT-AX86U will be available.
Connect Singtel TV box to one of the unbridged ports if you have any.
Connect another AP (eg: the old SingTel Mesh Router) to another unbridged port to utilize the other 1Gbps bandwidth.
mine keep sms me 42.40 plan...sienTwo recently reported good offers.
Hi. How much per month for your subscription? ThanksSingtel just installed my 1+1, Port 4 is bridged automatically. I chose to use WAN load balancing on the Asus Router. Doing a speed test on the router admin itself, I got 1476 Mbps down and 1002 Mbps up. Nice. Thank you @xiaofan for the guidance.
$54.24Hi. How much per month for your subscription? Thanks
$54.24
I just realized the price is after the discount for my Singtel Red which I gotten for free at an eventNice, This is better than new sign-up of Singtel 1+1 Gamer Bundle web offer at S$58.58 per month.
S$73.58 usual price, S$9 rebate normally, further S$6 rebate for new sign-up.
Since Singtel 10Gbps is now at S$79.72 with free GT-AX11000 Pro (valued at S$759 as per Singtel), it makes sense for Singtel to reduce the price of 1+1 Gamer bundle.
My Singtel Fiber and Singtel TV contracts expired but no one contacted me for any recontract offers. Do I need to use the Singtel webpage to request for a call back?
now offers so bad? used to have 8months free offer for recontract...Just use Singtel WhatsApp channel or call Singtel 1688. Or you can go to a physical Singtel Shop.
Negotiate with them for a better deal.
Baseline recontract promotion -- S$42.40 per month with free WiFi 6 router (ONT user) or AP (ONR user). This is for new sign-up. But usually you can negotiate to get the same or better deal than new sign-up from Singtel. For example, you can try to get S$40.40 per month offer.
Some users get even better offer (but usually they have more leverages or they have very good negotiation skills).
Singtel TV -- that depends on your subscription plan. For the cheaper family starter packs, you can try to get offers like 50% OFF and free basic Singtel TV box rental.

now offers so bad? used to have 8months free offer for recontract...
i just recontract by WhatsApp about 10 minutes ago.the chat only 6 messages long...very fast...lucky i got a good offer: "Thanks for waiting, we do have a promotion just for you, $15 bill rebate for 24 months contract on your current 1GB plan at price $35.37 (original price $50.37)"
Received sms invitation and Just recontacted 1gbps fibre at $38.37 ($50.37 base less $12.00 rebate) monthly for 24 months.
Invited to sign up for Singtel Red membership @ $40 per annum cancellable end of year 1. Additional discount of $3.33 per month for 24 months (total value $80) which will continue for 24 months to end of contract even if membership is cancelled before end of year 1. Assuming cancelled before end of year 1, effective additional discount is $40 (or $1.67 per month).
So net price for recontract is $38.37 - $1.67 = $36.70 per month.
Worthwhile (for me) add-ons include Amazon Prime $2.99 free for 12 months. Several other worthless (for me) add-ons bundled free for a few months which I will cancel immediately.
Comes with free wifi 5 Singtel Mesh Router which I will not use.
For singtel TV, last week I went to return my additional STB, was offered $40 rebates/month for my jingxuan value pack 1 year contract, very good deal as I intended to downgrade to the basic pack when I am due for recontract...
I just recontract for my parents the 1gbps.. Paying $35+ after red membership deduction. For Singtel ONT users who are still using the old Aztech or Singtel AC Plus/AC Elite/AC1900, I tend to recomend the cheap Singtel Mesh Router (AC1900) as a good upgrade, at it only costs around S$10 from Carousell. It is also compatible with Singtel ONR (automatically run as AP when connected to the Singtel ONR).
For those who want WiFi 6, Singtel RT5703W may be a good upgrade option at around S$60 to S$70 from Carousell (BNIB units). But for ONT users I will recommend TP-Link Archer AX72 at around S$80. For ONR users who do not have Singtel TV boxes (or connect Singtel TV boxes to the Singtel ONR), I will also recommend TP-Link Archer AX72 as a good upgrade.

Was given the RT5703W wifi6 router.
If I want to add a mesh to this router, which model should I be looking at? The askey AP5690W?
Ok thanks. Cosz I saw the 5703w got an indicator for mesh, so was wondering which model can mesh with it.No, it can not form mesh with any other routers. And please DO NOT get Singtel specific Mesh solution like Askey/Airties/Arcadyan. They are LOUSY.
Rather you can get mesh solution which may work in AP mode and use them behind the RT5703W. For example, TP-Link Deco, Asus AImesh or Netgear Orbi.
Or you may want to get two units of TP-Link Archer AX72 (about S$80 x 2 = S$160 from Carousell) which can form a mesh. In this case, you do not even need the RT5703W -- there are reports of issues with it here in this forum.

Was just wondering if there's a cheap way to get strong signal for wifi in my parents room (although not critical)
Guess I'll just leave it as it is
For a cheap mesh solution, can I just buy another RT5703W (eg: carousel) and setup with my existing singtel RT5703W as mesh?I see. Maybe you can check with Singtel to confirm if they offer mesh node for the Askey RT5703W.
If you have LAN port in the room, in reality you do not really need to use a mesh node, just use another AP (eg: the older free Singtel Mesh Router or even Singtel AC Pluse), set the SSID and Password to be the same as RT5703W. It should work for most of the devices.
In case it does not work for their devices, then you can use different SSID and ask them to switch SSID.
