sigh. my ONT died today.
am still on legacy 500mbps plan for many many years.

will singtel do 1-1 replacement? or change to some new setup?
How it went? Also on same plan & wonder will Singtel do free replacement or charge fee since out of contract for many years. Mine still working but wifi strength seem dropping. Please do update us, thanks.

haven't got the chance to go down.
Hotline told me to bring to +Serv outlets for "1-1" exchange.

currently just using 4G/5G router with Eight/Simba at home.
seriously considering terminating 500mpbs plan. 😆

Terminated my 500 Mbps plan with Singtel.

After termination, Singtel called to perform survey on the reasons for termination, etc...
Isn't this too late a call?

In this competitive market, Singtel should treasure existing customers. Once lost, there isn't any return.

For Singtel ONT replacement, even though Singtel website says it can be done by many places, it is probably better to go to +SERV as it is probably the most likely place to stock all the items.

+Serv staff didn't even asked what is the issue... Just took my faulty ONT and started the paperwork. 10-15mins of paperwork!

is ONT for ONT replacement. BUT, the device received is actually ZTE F620 ONR, with a paste over sticker 'Optical Network Terminal'... :unsure:

Thanks for the confirmation that Singtel still provides ONT to ONT replacement.

Your report is in line with previous report where the user got an ONT replacement and it was ZTE ZXHN F620.

Singtel can configure the ZTE ZXHN F620 ONR as an ONT.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/broadband/routers-ont

BTW, Nokia XS-240X-A XGS-PON ONR can be configured as an ONR or an ONT. Singtel configures it as an ONR (for Singtel 3Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps plans). Starhub will configure it as an ONT (for Starhub 3Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps plans).

For the users of Singtel issues routers, interestingly Singtel has changed the security support update of some Acadyan models, a bit strange. Not so sure if it is website glitch or previously they put wrong info.

1) Singtel Mesh Router --> 30 November 2024. no longer supported, changed.
2) Wi-Fi 6 Router (WG660242-ST) --> 30 November 2024. no longer supported, changed.

Previously
1) Singtel Mesh Router --> previously extended to 30 November 2027
2) Wi-Fi 6 Router (WG660242-ST) --> previously 5 August 2026 (this is strange)

If you are using the above two routers, please confirm with Singtel on the dates.

If you are using other Singtel issued router which is no longer supported for security updates, please change. If not, they can pose significant risks to your home network.

#2 is a mistake because Singtel wrongly links it to #3 in the new website.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/broadband/troubleshoot-by-router

I have corrected the previous post.
Singtel Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Extender (WE620242-ST) --> 5 August 2026, still supported, no change.

But I am pretty sure for for #3 as I can find older posts showing that they two are supposed to be supported until 5-August-2026.

I have also found my previous post which stated the extended support of Singtel Mesh Router.

Previous post here.

How do I process it like a contact with Singtel customer service ask them if i could change or just buy 3-party router any advice?

If you are using the following model, then no worry.

If you are using the following two models, you may want to check with Singtel to double confirm if their security supports have been stopped since 30-Nov-2024.

Previously, Singtel mentioned the following, please refer to my post below on 27-Jan-2025.
1) Singtel Mesh Router --> previously 30 November 2027. changed.
2) Wi-Fi 6 Router (WG660242-ST) --> previously 5 August 2026, changed.
Good news, Singtel has extended the support of Singtel Mesh Router and Singtel Mesh Extender, in case if you are still using them.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/broadband/routers-ont

My earlier post modified on 7-Dec-204.

Singtel issued Wireless Router --> it is good to put aside the old routers which are no longer supported.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/broadband/routers-ont

1) Not a router, they will only work as an AP or mesh node.
2) Work with Singtel ONT as the main router, automatically working as an AP when connected to an Singtel ONR. These routers have SIngtel VLAN built-in and cannot be used with other ISP's ONT as the main router.
  • AC Plus -- Security updates up to 30 November 2024 only, no longer supported.
  • AC Elite (AC1900) -- no more security update for quite some time
  • Singtel Mesh Router --Security updates up to 30 November 2024 only, no longer supported.
  • AirTies Air 4960R -- Security updates up to 30 November 2024 only, no longer supported. AP mode may or may not work well (needs confirmation).
  • Wi-Fi 6 Router RT5703W -- Singtel will provide security updates up to 10 March 2026.
  • Wi-Fi 6 Router (WG660242-ST) -- Singtel will provide security updates up to 5 August 2026.
3) Work with Singtel ONR as an AP for the 5Gbps/10Gbps plan. Work with other ISP's ONT as a main router but FW download is only from Singtel.
4) Singtel FW download links
