Gateway same as the ONR web interface IP?

Actually shouldn't be very important since we're not routing traffic through the ONR anymore.

Side question: Can you connect to the ONR web GUI using one of the unbridged ports?
Yes, i can connect to the ONR web GUI when using either of the unbridged ports.

I tried setting gateway as ONR web interface IP, cannot leh, i see people say set as my external IP, also cannot. I dont really know how to do this, any suggestion? I cannot ping, "arp -a" does not show the modem either.

The idea is to be able to manage the modem via my PC, through the router, without having to connect to the wifi / unbridged ports.

Try setting it to your WAN gateway address?

Unless your router (linksys?) has this advanced features like OpenWrt or Pfsense -

You need to explore your router firewall and subnetting settings to make it work.

Solutions provided by hwzlite bro on Post #1307 will work if your router belongs to these two. But I will think the concepts (or logic) should be pretty similar to allowing an external address through NAT to be able to connect to internal machines or vice-versa. On MikroTik ROS, you probably need to treat it like talking between 2 routers where you point that IP to each other and do a simple IP Masquerade.

From the link below

Specifically, here are how you can use its three bands per my real-world experience:

  1. A main SSID(network name) for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz band via Smart Connect. A couple of things to note about this network:
    • You can't separate these bands in two SSIDs, but you can turn either off, making the network exclusively 2.4GHz or 5GHz.
    • There is an option to make the 5GHz band operate in 80MHz, 160MHz (default), or the new 240MHz channel widths.
  2. A second SSID for the 6GHz band -- automatically takes the main SSID's name and adds the "-6GHz" suffix. You can change this name to anything you want, including the same as the main SSID. (This is new since the Deco XE200 doesn't allow the 6GHz to share the same SSID name as the others.)
  3. An optional third SSID with Wi-Fi 7's Multi-Link Operation(MLO) feature. This SSID automatically has the "_MLO" suffix, but you can also name it to your liking. A couple of things to note:
    • This SSID uses all three bands by default, but you can turn the 2.4GHz off to include only the 5GHz and 6GHz bands.
    • Wi-Fi 7 clients can connect to this SSID using two bands simultaneously to increase the bandwidth(*). Wi-Fi 6 devices can only use one band at a time.
    • This SSID only supports WPA3 encryption, which generally doesn't work with Wi-Fi 5 and older clients.
Unquote

From what I read you can have 3 individual band and so can test each as well.
Hey peeps just to update. Had a remote session with tp link engineer and the ans I've gotten is that it's either the adaptor issue or the antenna issue. Prob is I already tried buying some 3rd party antenna already and it still doesn't work. I'm out of idea now......

Or can anyone advise me how did you upgrade your wifi card? Which brand specifically did you buy and also which antenna are you using?

WiFi 7 BE200 card has latest driver from INTEL. Have you updated?

Buy another WiFi card to confirm. If problem still persists then likely to be antenna issue as per TP-LINK engineer

You bought the WiFi 7 card from Shopee?

You talking of your laptop antenna? Just make sure it's tri-band

I was checking the WiFi 7 cards from Shopee and Amazon a while ago.

I noticed some are just plain cards while others come with antenna. Maybe you should buy one with the antenna to test

The current SG ISP scenery in a nutshell

What do you mean? At where or in what situation is the actual interconnect speed limited below 10Gbps?

Yes it is ok but must put the ONR at the centre of the household and at a higher position. You must have Wifi 6 client on your device to enjoy faster wifi speed. If you want to have cable connection then better to use a good cat 6A LAN Cable with the 10Gbps LAN card. The router must be set to 160 Mhz for Wifi 5Ghz.

You cannot manage the ONR in bridged mode because it does not have any IP anymore as now it is just a bridge between your router and SH backend. What you can do is to connect the unbridged port to your router free port and then create a separate network eg 10.0.2.0 on that port which you can then allow your primary network eg 10.0.1.0 to access 10.0.2.0 or alternatively do a network address translation of eg 10.0.1.5 to 10.0.2.5 (assuming this is your ONR IP on the unbridged port) . Then you can access 10.0.2.5 from your PC in the 10.0.1.0 network.

Happy to answer any questions.
Wow, jealous haha, if only i built a ATX build instead of mini ITX build (space constraints, bo pian), i would have bought a 10gbps NIC so i can do this for fun haha. 1gbps good enough for now.
