Nice, you are lucky to secure one. But I won’t be buying even if it is available to me
It is hot stuff now, but I prefer interchangeable lenses, and the Sony ecosystem
It’s a beautiful camera. And perhaps good for those who are ok with the focal lengthIt is hot stuff now, but I prefer interchangeable lenses, and the Sony ecosystem
Yes if you want to leave post processing to the camera without tinkering in Lightroom, Fuji system is good with all their film IPsIt’s a beautiful camera. And perhaps good for those who are ok with the focal length
I’m thinking xt30ii second hand as a second camera may be good to try out film simulation
its like a new iphone, nothing really special but a lot of hypeIs this like a special camera? How come so difficult to get?
the hype is because film is getting expensive and those who like Fuji intellectual property like Provia and their other film brands can simulate the same look exactly as intended by Fuji when they use their digital camerasits like a new iphone, nothing really special but a lot of hype
I get that. I’m also old timer photographer since Nikon fm days. However I do have to say that whatever preference I have for provia film look is down to nostalgia because I used to shoot with that film. Young kids whose introduction to photography was with a digital camera probably will not value that much. So I wonder if this of market will be here to stay or just die a natural death with old timers like me moving on.the hype is because film is getting expensive and those who like Fuji intellectual property like Provia and their other film brands can simulate the same look exactly as intended by Fuji when they use their digital cameras
meanwhile other digital cameras use color profiles that are not an exact match or use profiles created by enthusiasts or companies in Lightroom, more lehcheh
I think it’s just hype, the Big 3 just need to release more built in creative profile presets to simulate film which is not hard to do. Just lower the colour palette, make the picture a little out of focus, then adjust exposure and saturation to simulate different films. Actually I think on this note, Sony was born out of Konica Minolta so not sure if they own the Konica film patents or notchI get that. I’m also old timer photographer since Nikon fm days. All these simulations will never replicated film cos they are applied as a whole. They look like they have some weird colour cast across the whole photo and only works in certain lighting conditions only. For film, every grain particle responds differently dynamically.I think it’s just hype, the Big 3 just need to release more built in creative profile presets to simulate film which is not hard to do. Nothing will replicate perfectly, but the cost of film and negative development will drive enthusiasts to what they believe is the next best thing, hence Fuji is making a ton of moneyAll these simulations will never replicated film cos they are applied as a whole.
