How do I get my pancreas back to normal?

Rest and recovery, and fasting gives time to your pancreas to recover and work again for producing insulin and enzymes. Sleeping or fasting enables pancreas to regenerate enzymes.

Sorry to my body that I am slow to learn this
EXERCISE. ESP CARDIO. Ask your endocrine refer you to sports medicine centre at TTSH or SGH for a safe structured exercise program. Knnnnn you have a nice walking route just next to your block downstairs beside the river which is filled with many cute doggies in the evening. Go WALK pls...

Hmmm.. my HbA1c is 5.9 based on 20 Feb 24, 5.8 on 21 Aug 23.

My Glucose, 120 min, was 10.1 (mmol/L) on 21 Aug 23.

Your diabetes is well controlled with hba1c below 6.

2nd test is ogtt (oral glucose tolerance test). U have impaired glucose tolerance.

Forgot that 120m=2h
This is not your typical post meal 2hr glucose test that u do at home.
It's a controlled test where 100g of sugar spiked drink is given and they checked 2hrs later. It's called ogtt (oral glucose tolerance test).
Doc will typically look at this ogtt and hba1c to pronounce u diabetic.

I always believed the internet, that says 100+/coke zero are ok for diabetes
Can drink but limit yourself to not more than a can a day.

In TTSH, if you ask for coffee/tea, they also give you a packet of Equal. That is like half a can of Diet Coke.

TS currently has moderate anemia. Oxygenated blood is somewhat compromised.

Why so? Because of proteins?

Those without sweet taste?
His carb and fibre intake came from vegs. Tofu is secondary protein while egg is primary protein.

I'm limit to 250ml cup of unsweetened tea/coffee a day. Plain water I can drink 750ml. I haven't drink coke zero or diet coke for more than 7 years. Normal coke I got drink 1 mouthful whenever my wife open a can.

My wife bought it days ago, but does it help since I am not eating rice and sweet food?
Why not? Even vegetable is carb and fibre, carb will convert to sugar in your stomach. Those starchy vegs got higher sugar content than leafy greens.

It takes me an hour to finish such a distance
No need to start with an hour. Just start with 30 mins of moderate effort every other day. Moderate effort will be abit of heavy breathing, but able to converse in sentences of 5 words or so.

Start with slow walk and walk for 5km every night before you sleep. After few months, slowly increase momentum and distance.
