Holland v bto is good for the prestige, but convenience is so-so. Nearby got many food options, but one holland v is like star vista, mostly all food only, and no aircon in mall. Want to travel to city still considered quite far

Tanjong rhu location is just outright crap. Only redeeming factor is if ur queue is in front enough, u can get unblocked view of the marina and stadium area but u will be baked in the west sun, and there will be alot of noise from the nearby expressways.

Good PLH locations are already long gone after release of river peaks and bukit merah ridge.
I think the Alexandra Vale very good. The facade is very nice, just walk beside got swimming pool, NTUC finest just downstairs along with other eateries, hawker and wetmarket just opposite, green line mrt just downstairs.

Tanjong Rhu BTO looks amazing at first glance until u pause and realize the location is actually quite inaccessible. Daily amenities need to go Kallang wave mall which I think is around 20+min walk due to the awkward placement of the bridge. Want to go city centre also need at least 30+ min public transport due to the river obstructing what would otherwise be a direct route.

Stadium/Marina Bay view is awesome though, and the eastern coastal loop is beautiful! If i stay there will be very motivated to run and cycle every day, haha.

Still have plenty of good unreleased PLH projects like Greater Southern Waterfront, Bukit Timah, Marina South. However depending on market conditions and/or how attractive the PLH location is, HDB might play with the subsidy clawback % on project basis

First timer single here, which one of the btos you think it's more worth it to get? Wanted to get a general idea.

If I apply for senior priority scheme, can only choose short term lease or can buy regular 99-year lease?

Can buy 99 years lease . I am looking at 3 room , depend on the ratio, if too high then go for 2 room 99 years, but not eligible for senior priority scheme

Agree with Hyruga - the BTO project launched in 2013 was also record setter then. For Beacon, it's rightly looking at greater southern water front and 6 mins walk to MRT. The south facing may have seaview.
Beacon I have seen 660k base price .. Lv 30*.. I used to stay at the blk beside.

all the 4rm sitting at 1m or so prices now. My ex neighbours should be feeling shiok.
