Hi sorry noob question here, will Asus ZenWifi XD6 work well with WC ONR? Mine is a 5 room BTO, so the ONR will be in the DB box, one XD6 unit placed in my living room near the TV console, and the other unit in my Masterbed room, it should be sufficient?
Considering we mostly only need good wifi coverage in living and master room.
And also I am using Global Protect VPN for work purpose, I believe should not have any issue with WC? Was considering SImba 2.5g plan, but worried there might be issues with CGNAT.

Yes, WC 2.5Gbps should be okay with your use case.

Those who submitted the request to upgrade the bandwidth foc from 1gb to 2.5gb. how long did yours take?

Mine is already on the 7th week and no updates from them. Very frustrating
2.5 month for me.

They upgraded it silence after 2.5 month request and i got email saying they upgraded it about 3 week later ..

I notice when my public ip changed and do the speed test to confirm the upgrade from 500mbps -> 1gbps.

Urs is 1gbps to 2.5gbps is harder to test as your need to saturate both link to verify.

Indeed Singtel/Whizcomms will have quite some routing issues to various internation locations. On the other hand, other IPSs may have issues with some international locations as well. But Singtel may be the worse among them.

You can refer to the following threads as well.

More testing results in the other thread as well, which shows Singtel has bad routing to many Europe locations (Singtel is also bad for US locations) and M1 is usually better. WC will be the same or worse than Singtel.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/internet-traffic-to-eu-slow.7022061/page-5

On the other hand, Singtel/WC will usually be better than M1 when it comes to China.

The "TBC" entry is not available to the general public yet.

MR may still be the better bet if you need good routing in general.

Update Comparison post of WC 2.5Gbps vs SIMBA 2.5Gbps plan.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/...nd-whizcomm-boradband.6984714/#post-150697339

If you are impatient to read the above post, you can read the following summary.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Personal Recommendations: just my personal opinion
Avoid SIMBA 2.5Gbps plan in general unless you use it as a backup ISP.
Avoid WC 2.5Gbps plan unless you really understand the weak points (eg: using ONR).

For an average user who want to have a low cost Fibre internet plan and do not mind the limitations of WC (including ONR and bad routing to certain internation locations like US/EU), WC 2.5Gbps may be the way to go.
Stability is the most important factor for average users.

For power users who want to take a bit of risk and bridge the WC ONR, it is an okay option (but please take note of the other weak points like bad international routing to some locations).

Wow! 2.5 months is very very long.

I can test using 2 routers simultaneously to max the bandwidth for 2.5gb. until now is only 1gb.

The password can be found on the onr.
This password is for the root account.
Reverse it and it will be the password for support account.
I tried this but does not work. Any other solutions?
My onr is ZTE Corporation F620.
This is from the whizcomm.
I tried the following.
username: support
password: reverse of the password on the bottom of the onr.

I used the following website to reverse the password
textreverse.com

What did I miss?

What about your root account? Can you log in to that?

Yes. Root login works.
support with reverse password does not work.
Any advice?
Maybe you should try to key in the reverse password yourself slowly? Hopefully it is just some careless typo mistake.

Or else I can't advise much. Not sure if you reset the router using your root account will bring back the original support account log in or not?

Maybe some experts can help you.

Thank you for the advice. I will try again.

Are you a new subscriber?

Somehow I feel most of the new subscribers (Singtel or WC) get the ZTE ZXHN F620.
Yes, new subscriber. suppose the schedule for installation is on friday, but somehow the technician call say they are around my area and check if they come in to do the installation. Talk to the technician that i need to access my home from external and he told me to write in to get permission.
