I have not. My PVE machines are low end Intel N100 machine which does not have USB 4 ports. I will try Linux later on my Intel laptop.

But it is said that you need to rebuild the kernel driver module for Debian/Ubuntu/PVE. PVE is based on Debian.

adding the kernel parameter
Code:
thunderbolt.host_reset=false
to grub fixed the issue ;)

Hi all, I know very very little knowledge of internet.
I just re-contract Starhub HomeHub+ Ultraspeed because of the football channels and Netflix.

Anyone care to teach me about the Wi-Fi parts?
Eg, my id is ABCD. During the Wi-Fi search, it shows Wi-Fi name: 1. ABCD, 2. ABCD_MLO for my desktop PC and for Mobile phone with a 3. ABCD_6G

May I know what are the different and which Wi-Fi id should I connect to for PC and HP? Thank you.

I am surprise to see that your big router can still fit nicely into the DB Box. The bad is every > 18 - 21 months we will create another waste when we upgrade our router again when we recontract again.

Guess with the speed 10Gbps, the router will last very long for me. :flash:

They're different speeds/support for older devices - very roughly, in order of speed (fast to slow): ABCD_MLO, ABCD_6G, ABCD.

Each has pros/cons (strength/distance of signal, speed etc), and some clients can choose and reconnect as needed. For football/netflix though any of them would be fine really.

Thank you. Learn somethings new on Wi-Fi connection. 👍

Good.

Wait for tonight peak time to see if get similar results.
Now my speed test drop to 4Gbps again and SH just call me to take photo of the speed test. I show them morning speed and the speed now. Capacity issue for sure. But with the news article i am confident that backend equipment will get upgraded soon after the grant approved. Now i can sit back and wait for it to happen.

For this package am I able to request for ONT? or Am I stuck with ONR?

wQmzKRH.jpeg

1) By default is comes with Nokia all-in-one XGS-PON ONR (XS-2464X-A) with AX6000 WiFi 6. The feedbacks from this thread show that is not so good and quite some users have changed to ONT after negotiating with Starhub.

2) Average users who do not want Nokia ONR may want to go with the more expensive S$55.39 per month plan (UltraSpeed 5Gbps with ONT + Wifi 7 router) which comes with XGS-PON ONT plus TP-Link EB810v 10G capable WiFi 7 router.

3) The report here says that you can opt to change to ONT if you go to the Starhub shop to sign-up. If you have your own good 10G capable router (eg: Ubiquiti UDM SE, Asus ROG GT-BE98, etc), this is a very good option to go with. You can even use it as a true 2.5G plan if you already have a good 2.5G capable router like Asus GT-AX6000 or TUF-AX6000 (and others). You can always buy 10G capable router you like when the price comes down.

Can get ONT at the shop if buying their TP-Link router but need to add $.

For new user, it is cheaper to get the S$55.39 per month plan in that case. Effectively TP-Link costs about S$250 in that case.
(S$55.39 - S$45) x 24 = S$249.36

But for existing user who want to change from Nokia ONR to ONT, I guess you have to pay S$360 to get the TP-Link EB810v router.
