aside from what others have mentioned about eSIM, using global ROM will be more convenient if you'll be using the phone outside of CN. I've used CN ColorOS and while I like some of things they offer (more granular permissions management, ability to uninstall a lot of the built in apps), it's a bit more of a hassle since for us who use apps outside of CN and installed from Playstore, will need to change settings to make sure they get immediate notifications, and it wont have things like nearby share, android auto, google location history.

with the promo on shopee over the weekend, the price for local set is so close to CN pricing with the same ram/storage config (like ~70 SGD difference only?) that unless you really just want as cheap as possible, it's way more worth to just get local set since we get 2 years warranty here also. so personally, would not consider at all.
To add on, if your company relies heavily on work profile (for my case microsoft intune), please get a global rom. It is wonky on a14 at least for me. Notifications delay despite setting all the required things for prompt notifications etc.

Oppo is not in the list of certified phone to use in my company, so in order to install Work profile I have to get Google or Sammy phone 😌
