I am now watching free.song song no lag.haha.only no 4k but I can do without it since it's free
Because now less people watch. During the earlier day many people watch so lag. I do not understand how the person earn $ since it is free service. Then who will pay for their server and their cost of doing it?

If you just use a bit of common sense and don’t click advertisements when using such websites and don’t enable browser notifications and don’t download anything you won’t get infected with anything.
The site ask me to enable notifications when i try to visit the site after many years but luckily it is just some popup notification and not infected. Now do not know what happen to this site and totally can not watch.

FAQ: https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/tv/more-ways-to-watch

You can watch your favourite shows on-the-go with the CAST app! But you'll need to subscribe to our new Singtel TV packs before you can access the CAST app for free. You can then stream your TV packs on 1 device of your choice.

Want to stream concurrently on a second device? Simply add on $6.98 per month. Click here to subscribe.
So the only way to watch on own Android box is via CAST app?

Can I subscribe to only Sports Pack without their box?

Starhub TV+ app is like the same launcher used by Starhub TV+ box. I guess CAST app would be different from Singtel TV box so I wonder if there's any limitation in terms of streaming performance and quality?

Am currently using Singtel's 4K DVR STB.

Does this mean the days of such IPTV STBs are numbered?

Still very much prefer this to OTT Android TV boxes which are laggy when changing channels. IPTV is instantaneous. No need to launch app etc

It will probably be like SingTel ONT where they won’t force you to switch but won’t give for new sign ups unless explicitly ask.

Very blur video for illegal streaming. The site look like real one. Hacker hack the real one and put the contents into their site. All this is outdated as everyone can afford Pay TV now.

i use to think that when a channels is laggy, it is because the server is slow, too many user logon to that stream
or there is something wrong with the bandwidth.
I am not wrong, all this play a part is lagged stream, what i did find out now is the programming technic that you use make alot of different to the way a channels is stream to the users

Anyone on singtel 1gbps fibre ONT with their own 3rd party router and changed to their new android box recently. I got my android box today but after installing, it cannot connect to my Asus router and says no ethernet connection.. called Singtel and after remote assistance, they say could be need to use singtel router…. They are sending a tech down tomorrow and will charge me $60+ if it is non-singtel fault…

Which Asus router?

Typically you need to enable Singtel VLAN and usually LAN4 is for the old Singtel TV box (VLAN ID 20).

You can try to connect the new Android TV box to this LAN port to see if it works or not. If it works then the new Singtel Android TV box needs to use VLAN ID 20.

If not, connect it to the other LAN port and see if that works. If that works, that means the new Android TV box does not need VLAN ID 20.

I believe one of the above should work.

If that still does not work, then get an old Singtel issued router to see if that works. If that does not work, call Singtel for support. If that works, then that is strange and you may have to contact Asus for help (but I doubt they can support in that case).

Based on the user guide, I believe it should work with both Singtel ONT and Singtel ONR. But Singtel will not support 3rd party router like Asus.

Honestly Singtel is moving to android TV because Android is a cheaper platform and there is more flexibility for users to add an App or take away an App. Very good.

Asus RT-AX86U router. I tried using back the old SingTel tv box LAN4 connection but it did not detect an eternet connection on LAN4. I switched to LAN3 and on tv network settings it shows there is a Ethernet connection but the SingTel tv eventually still says no connection detected. I threw my old Singtel router away when i got the Asus one.
What does the above statement saying SingTel TV requires the use of one port at the FTP mean? Currently on my ONT, there is only a connection on LAN 1 wired all the way to my living room Asus router. Anyway let's see what the SingTel tech says tomorrow when he comes. I hope he can solve the problem without me needing to pay anything :) My parents are already killing me softly today for the enforced no Taiwanese drama TV day for them :(

First time i heard Android TV box need ISP router. Just need to change some setting on the ASUS router. It is LAN Port 4 on your ASUS router.

I set up the Asus router for the old singtel tv box a few years ago. The old TV box ethernet cable was connected to LAN Port 4 on my Asus. So when the Singpost man delivered the android box and took back the old singtel STB, i just connected the power supply and did a straight swop of the hdmi and ethernet cable end. I could connect via wifi to stream disney+ on the new singtel android box but just cannot get a ethernet connection for the mio tv set up to work.

If wireless works, that means no need VLAN ID 20, which is kind of expected.

In that case, it should also work with LAN Port 1/2/3. It is quite strange that you cannot get them to work using wired connection.

The above reference says you need to use the SingTel Android TV box using SingTel connection, and not other ISP, just like the existing non-Android TV SingTel TV Set-top Box.

SingTel allows the users of other ISPs to subscribe to SingTel TV, but then they will provide a wired ONR together with the SingTel TV box, which will occupy one Fibre Terminal Point.

And from SingTel's point of view, if you use SingTel issued router (ONR included), then there are no differences in terms of communication for the new SingTel Android TV box and the older SingTel TV box.
