Contemplating between S25U 512GB at around $1.4k or OP13 512GB at $1k

The OP13 seems to have way better value but the S25U does seem to have a certain X-factor.

Regarding sc+:
If buy from other stores like shopee or telco,
How do i buy sc+?

Is sc+ tied to my samsung account?
Does that mean i need to log in my samsung account on my family member phone to get sc+ for his phone?
Can buy care plus from phone settings. Tied to your Samsung account.

Just to share.

I put on the lens protective covers and when I removed them, the original lens rings also got pulled out. During the removal of the protective covers, I scratched the frame. Just sent 2 units to replace the back plate and titanium frame which cost me $200 each.

What brand you use? When you removed it, the leverage did you apply too deep such that it lift the original lens ring too?

I bought from Taobao and Shopee. Think no brand... yes, I pressed hard so that the ring covers the original ring. The service centre advised me not to use these protective lens cover as they might pull out the original rings. Jerry did his review and was confirmed this year Samsung uses glue to stick the rings. Initially I thought the technician will just stick back the rings; in the end I have to pay for the entire back cover.

Shag.. how did you remove the ring in the first place? You slot something underneath and then pull up?

Yes, used a thin flatbed screw to slowly remove the rings. Never did I realised that the original ring stuck firmly to the protective ring.... felt sianz seeing naked lens....

Lucky it took around 2 days for the spare parts to arrive the service centre.

Need to be careful. I almost did the same thing as you. You have to make sure when you remove the ring, you "lever" against the outer camera protector. I suspect what you did was your screwdriver went a bit too deep and end up "levering" up against the inner camera ring

If I were you, I will try to find oem rings, or just buy another set of the lens protector and put on a case that does not cover the cameras.
$200 for those glued on rings isn't worth it.

Now I don't stick the lens protector instead I stick the glass protector just for the lens.
