They will either keep the Singtel ONT or issue a new Singtel ONR for your Singtel digital voice service. This is the same for those who cancel their Singtel Fibre internet service but keep their Singtel TV service.

That means it will occupy one Fibre Terminal Port.
one fibre port for just a digital line. its good value, because ST would probably be paying out more to netlink trust than the digital line subscription 🤣

Singtel just installed the ZTE ONR as part of the 5gbps plan. After installing it, my Asus XD6 router (used to be connected to ONT) and remaining XD6 AP didn't work after that. Now, after changing the main XD 6 router to AP mode and it still couldn't work (unable to get assigned an IP address). Does anyone know what should I configure in order to get it to work again?

Have you change ip address before that ONR? default is 192.168.1.1

You can also change to Singtel Analog Line of you prefer that.

Not so sure if NLT charges SingTel the same amount or not in this case.

For debundle, NLT changes of S$61.04 should not be applicable. Hopefully ONT / ONR charges will not be applicable as well. Need to confirm with SingTel.

Factory reset the main Asus ZenWiFi XD6 and go through the setup steps one more time and choose AP mode.

Later you can go to SingTel ONR webpage 192.168.1.254 to look for the IP address of your main XD6 (192.168.1.x). From there you can go to the Web UI of the main XD6. Factory reset the second XD6. Set up AImesh from the main XD6 Web GUI.

next best thing is are u using mac or windows?
used ipconfig
I'm using Windows. @xiaofan if I want to use the Asus XD6 in router mode (running together with ONR without bridging), will it be the same steps as well?

Similar steps.

Factory reset the main Asus ZenWiFi XD6 and go through the setup again. Choose router mode and DHCP. DO NOT use any special SingTel VLAN profile (only for Singtel ONT users).

Factory reset the second XD6. Then go to main XD6 web GUI at 192.168.50.1, and add second XD6 as AImesh mesh node.

Is there any different in quality? No power as in PoE?
analog copper phone lines have 50V running though them if I remembered correctly. quality depends on how good is the copper lines between your unit till the singtel exchange. after so many decades should have some degradation but should be still ok.

for private estates, there was an exercise sometime ago to decommission all the copper lines but i think HDB not affected

Yes, Archer BE550 Pro is good enough but may not be cost effective.

Cheaper one can be the Archer BE230 (dual 2.5G ports, dual band WiFi 7 BE3600, no 6GHz band) at about S$90 BNIB (or less now), dumped by M1 users.

Depending on the price you get for the Archer BE550 Pro, it is probably cheaper to get Archer BE805 (dual 10G ports, triband WiFi 7 BE19000) at about S$300 BNIB (or less now), dumped by M1 users.
Hi xiaofan, I assume be 805 is consumer retail unit and I can just buy from carousel ( dumped by M1) users and use it on my Singtel 3gbps right?
