doesn't seem quite useful or attractive as a debit or credit card.

I use my Standard Chartered High Account US$ Mastercard Debit card whenever I travel to US. The odd thing is that not all places seem to accept this card (or maybe they key in the wrong card type). I also get nett 1% cashback (2% cashback less 1% overseas transaction fee)

Maybe more valuable for SC to have this sort of card since their forex charges from changing from US$ back to S$ is so high, better to just spend the US$ dividends 😅

IBKR forex premium so low, might as well just change back from US$ to S$....

ya can keep hoping lor. sometimes in life need to have some hope to be worth living for.

but then it might in reality be false hope. i.e., keep hoping but never a possible reality, the end up procrastinate to take any action.

that feature you talking about is not singapore specific ma.

whereas this card thing, if release in sg will be sg specific.

sg market so small. also not say they want to release means they can simply release like that, sure got regulatory hurdles.

if so simple to release, then apple card would be here long ago? since they have much bigger presence than IBKR.
ibkr total customer accounts only 3.34 million in 34 countries, i think users in us & canada market also small

should be easy to pass regulatory in sg..

apple card not brokerage account, not important 😂

eh when talking about small or big...

it's relative to the customer base they have in each country ma.

3.34mil might not be alot across 34 countries..

but maybe 90% is in US/CA market.

then the remaining 10% is across 32 countries.

which is very possible ma.

in fact IBKR SG only became registered a few years ago.

you have more specific data?
should be easy to pass regulatory in sg..
maybe. but the question is, whether is it even worth the investment to do it.

back to the above.

to you might not be important.

but talking about customer base.

there are definitely more people with iphone than ibkr account in sg.

why Apple don't see the need to introduce the card here?

it's all about economics.

“Despite being a U.S.-headquartered brokerage, most IBKR clients reside outside the U.S.”

many other options available in the us/canada..

If 10% in 32 countries, average 1 country only 10,437 users 😂

In my IBKR it shows SPXL LSEETF SPDR S&P500 UCITS ETF ACC quite clearly. What does it show on your screen?

Is is possible to open a joint account at Interactive Brokers with my child or children who are Singapore citizens and aged between 12 to 18 years old? If yes, what type of account is applicable?

I was reading that only those above 18 can open a normal account while those below 18 can open only a trust account but must be US citizens. Is that correct?
If I did not remember wrongly, interactive brokers singapore joint account holder must be at least 18 years old and only cash account.

For child below 18 years old, I only know you could open Fundsupermart beneficiary account.

Received IBKR notification on fractional share position handling.. not sure if it's better to enable or disable the auto liquidate the fraction in the open market, any take?

Also, where's the option on the IBKR website, they revamp until it's becoming difficult to find different functions :(
It really doesn't matter too much, but you might as well enable auto-liquidation so you don't have to think too much about the fractionals.

Anyone knows how to clear recently viewed (not recently searched) stocks under the trade tab at the bottom middle on IBKR mobile app?

There’s an option to swipe left to delete on recently searched but I can’t seem to find a way to remove recently viewed. The recently searched is a different list from recently viewed so deleting from recently searched will not delete it from recently viewed.

Update: it seems like recently viewed will just keep the 12 most recent stocks and overwrite the older ones

I just realized IBKR (SG) supports trading certain UCITS on LSE even though their primary exchange for those ETF is EBS which is unchangeable on the IBKR web interface. However, Desktop or TWS apps allow me to do direct routing to LSEETF. Shame on me for only using the web interface so far. :ROFLMAO:

My question is, since FSMOne also supports trading the same UCITS on LSE but not other European exchanges, if I use IBKR to buy the UCITS (same currency as the one offered by FSMOne) on EBS or other non-LSE exchanges via smart routing, will I face any issues transferring those IBKR-bought UCITS to FSMOne in the future?

Or should I go with direct routing to LSEETF to be safe?

Hi guys, do you all usually use ibkr on the Web or mobile app? Do you find the mobile app is really hard to use? It so slow!

The bank transfer I forgot, the PayNow transactions I did. So really no excuse for IBKR, and it's PayNow! Luckily all are test deposits of a few dollars! And it took forever to reach the Live chat!
