hope they can come down abit like 850
Highly doubt it. Not when it's selling like hotcakes at 999 and above as proven by lack of stock islandwide for all retail price cards.

At most, if stock comes back at retail price of 999, pray there's online coupons.

generally no incompatibility. see if the 9070xt costs about the same, maybe that could be a better choice. psu power capacity is fine, though the da series is so so only and for the prices u are paying for the rest of the parts, surely u can afford a higher end psu that is of higher quality with longer warranty.

The 9070 xt build costs around 100 dollars lesser, but the build is slightly different
RAM: CRUCIAL PRO DDR5 BLACK 6000MT/s 32GB(16GBx2) CL36
Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B650M-E WIFI MOTHERBOARD (decided to go with ASUS TUF GAMING B650-E WIFI DDR5 instead for the 7900XTX build)
PSU: THERMALRIGHT TR-SG 750 80+ GOLD MODULAR PSU

Do you feel that it is worth to get the 9070xt instead now for future proofing and lower PS?

the ram and mobo are a step down, though either of these should not matter as much for the 78x3d. the xtx generally offers comparable if not slightly faster raster performance and a much increased vram capacity, though the raytracing performance of the 9070xt is significantly better; u could argue either way which is more "futureproof". if u value power efficiency, then that is another point in the 9070xts favour, and dont forget fsr4. i do feel the discount should be more than $100 though, especially due to the downgrades in other parts, otherwise ur just getting scalped.

I went with the invaderpc option but added a simple air cooler (assassin 120). 7800xt is more valuable than the 7700 cpu imo and I don't trust Aftershock to give good components.

Certain things like monitors will have discounts only visible during the show (ie. they will slash the price and you'd have to ask the promoter for the current price)

Hi guys, been a while since I last built my own PC before the crazy gfx prices as seen below of my setup.
I don't mind getting a prebuilt since there's IT show ongoing OR just buying the parts and upgrade my exisiting rig.

Needs: Future proof for min. 5 years?
Budget: Flexible as long can last, don't mind spending.
Preference: AMD/Intel/NVIDIA is fine for CPU/GPU as long as worthwhile while maximising the cost to performance.
Usage: Gaming/Work (Dota/FPS mainly)

Monitor
24" BenQ ZOWIE XL2411P - 144Hz

Rig
Tecware Nexus Evo
ASUS ROG Strix 750 Modular 80+ Gold ATX
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9600K CPU @ 3.7GHz
ASUS Z390-A-PRO
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (ZOTAC) -6GB
32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 C16
1TB SanDisk SSD, 125GB ADATA NVMe SSD & 2TB Toshiba HDD
