Mentioned by 1 user that ST agreed to waive the bridging charges for 24 months only. After that, if want to recontract, need to negotiate again. See if you are willing to do the negotiation or not.

Otherwise, jump ship.

But do note, ST most stable of the big 3.
Hmmm... maybe I'll make a trip down to Singtel 313 and talk about this bridging charge.

Thanks dude, for the input.

Let us know the outcome, so that we (XGS-PON ONR users) can go bug SingTel too... :ROFLMAO:
Folks, not so good news. Lady at retention desk, Singtel 313, said that for any technical arrangement (including bridging), customer has to contact technical dept, discuss and agree on the arrangement, before signing up. The recontract agreement will not indicate this technical arrangement, exposing this to potential conflict.

Bottom line: I will just visit Starhub soon and save me from trouble.

@Singtel, you have just lost another customer, one that has been with you since dial-up and ISDN!

For the Singtel hiddend links mentioned in the Post #3 of the sticky thread at the top of this forum section, I will check the validity of the links from time to time.

I have been a loyal SingTel customer for years, with zero complaints. So i hate to say this.

But offering a 5Gbps plan, providing a Wi-Fi6 (not Wi-Fi7) router, with 1 Gbps ports. Someone must be high, or on something.

I recontracted with this piece of sh*t, simply because it has Wi-Fi7 and 10 Gbps ports. But IPv6 does not work, wonderful. Don't even want to call support.

I also asked them to remove those lame freebies, so i don't have to worry about cancelling when the free subscription ends, or the price reverting to a ridiculous $90+ a month after two years.

They truly love and treasure their loyal customers.

For those who want to buy HB810 from Singtel, you may want to take a look at this thread. HW spec is good but there seems to be some FW issues.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/tp-link-hb810-be22000-wifi-7-router-users.7003498

I tend to think HB810 is an okay option with good HW spec but similar FW issues with TP-Link EB810v by Starhub. EB810v is more popular than HB810 and more issues are reported by Starhub users.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/tp-link-eb810v-quick-overview.7014586/

What about alternatives if you want a 10G capable WiFi 7 routers?
1) M1 issued Archer BE805, about S$270 to S$300. This may be the most cost effective model now.
2) M1 issued Asus ZenWiFi BT10 two-pack if you need a mesh solution, about S$660 to S$700.
3) Higher budget users can look at TP-Link Archer BE800/GE800, or Deco BE805 for mesh solution. Of course there are also other good ones with even higher budget.

I signed up via the link before and Singtel reject. So I call them and ask why. They just said the offer is not valid for me and not in their system for me, even I told them i was with them for 20 years... A CSO told me to check the promo every month, they will email or mail me the offer. Then just nice last Friday i saw the email. Sign up on Sat and approve on Sunday.

Even my offer is only below, I still got the 500mb sim card thing even it is not in my contract.. dunno why
I got rejected too. Seems like gotta wait for another 1-2months

Are you using Singtel ONT or ONR?

If you are using unbridged ONR, then why not if you can pay less with this Singtel 5Gbps offer at S$29.90 per month?

ST ONT china brand

Then you need to think whether you want to change to ONR or not.

If not, better switch to M1/Starhub: they are of much better value anyway with way better wireless router bundle.
1) Starhub 5Gbps plan with free HB710 at S$29.55
2) M1 6Gbps plan with free Archer BE805 at S$34.90 per month.

You can also check out the sticky thread to see if you want to consider other plans.

BTW, I believe all the ONT/ONR used here are made in China, no matter you use ZTE/Huawei/Nokia. Nokia's ONT/ONR are done by Nokia Shanghai Bell (combination of Nokia China and Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell).

if referring to this weekend IT Show 2025 @ Suntec City Convention Centre brochure promo https://www.starhub.com/content/dam/starhub/2025/personal/promotions/it-show/it-show-2025-e-brochure.pdf for Starhub 5Gbps plan with free HB710 is now at $38.90 liao no more $29.55
the M1 6Gbps plan with free Archer BE805 router still remains at $34.90 however that drop down list of selecting a router with the top-up monthly does confuse people abit.... so I can just select "I don't need any router" option and still get the free Archer BE805 router correct arh ?

Hi all, can i get some advice please ? i am on Singtel 1Gb ONT plan at $39.90 a month and it also comes with a Land line and my contract ends in June 25.
It seem like from what i read here, i cannot re-contract with Singtel 1Gbs ONT anymore and must go with ONR. I am considering the M1 6Gbs and have confirmed my address is eligible to apply (lucky for me as one month ago it is still not available) . I am using Asus AX89X and would like to continue using it if possible.

1. Any issue for me to use M1 6Gbs with my existing Asus AX98X with BT10 (bundled) ? During the setup, can i request the M1 staff to setup using my Asus router or i have to use the given one ?
2. Any additional termination or de-registration cost for me from Singtel to switch telco ? I will only do this switch after my Singtel contract ends fully.
3. Can i port over my existing Singtel Landline number to M1? Any additional cost for this ?
4. What is the gateway device that M1 is giving ?

Thanks !

1) no issues to keep using RT-AX89X. M1 staff will not help you to set up the RT-AX89X though. They will only set up the Archer BE805 router or two Asus ZenWiFi BT10 (if you choose to top us S$12 per month) for you. But if you only want to use the RT-AX89X, you can sell the two Asus ZenWiFi BT10 and you can ask the M1 installer not to open the two BT10.

Only thing to take note is that you have to remove the SingTel VLAN profile which is only required when using SingTel ONT. You may also need to reassign the 10G RJ45 port as the WAN port.

I will suggest you factory reset the RT-AX89X and then set up internet access from scratch. Use DHCP on the 10G WAN port, use the same wireless SSID and password as before. That is about it.

2) SingTel is quite okay when you terminate the Fibre Internet, no extra charges.

3) Porting of SingTel digital voice number to M1 is possible but it can be tricky. Talk to SingTel and M1 for advice before signing-up M1.

Basically you have to debundle SingTel digital voice and then port in to M1.

It seems to me you are considering M1 6Gbps a bit too early. Maybe it is easier to do this in May 2025.

4) M1 is using ONT so no such thing as extra gateway. Your router will be the gateway. If you keep Asus RT-AX89X as the main router, then it is the gateway.

Hello experts. So I just came back from the IT Show, where I happily signed up for Singtel's WiFi7 plan as a new user for my new resale home (waiting to undergo renovation).

Plan details:
3Gbps Enhance Fibre Hm HDL
$39.70/mth
Includes 2 x Singtel WiFi 7 router (TP Link HB611)

What attracted me to sign up on the spot was because they threw in one more extra router while keeping the price at $39.70, which I was told by the rep that served me that if I had signed up online, I would only have one router at that price.

So after coming home, I was going through the service agreement and googling the router to see if it's good. Which then brought me to this forum, and now I'm facing a bit of buyer's remorse.

I've read the ONT vs ONR post (which admittedly, I don't really understand fully, which proves I'm no power user), and the 2025 SG ISP comparison and latest promo thread, and I'm now wondering if I should have gone with the Starhub 5Gbps offer at S$29.55, with XGS-PON ONT+HB710, since it's cheaper and is ONT instead of ONR.

Questions:
1) Any take if I've really made a bad impulsive order? Or it's actually fine seeing as I'm obviously no power user.

2) Suppose I carry on with this Singtel plan, will I encounter any issue moving from ONR to ONT with another ISP in the future?

I believe there's no penalty for terminating because I've yet to activate the service. Would love to hear your thoughts.

1) I think this is a pretty decent recontract deals with dual TP-Link HB611-SGST. In fact I tend to believe this is the best SingTel recontract deal reported in this forum recently.

2) No issues if you want to move out of SingTel in the future.
