i rmb there is a saying in the past, that they were shocked to see LTK walking with the team into the nomination centre. back then, nomination centre for aljunied n hougang were at separate locations

Heard so as well. Serangoon division was around 40%, while Eunos division was scrapped by 1000-2000 votes margin
I remember there was a leak that LTK was already going to leave for Aljunied about a month before it was known, and it was credited to a govt source. Why they didn't do anything about it, I am not sure... Maybe they really thought LTK changed strategy to go Moulmein Kallang?

Precisely. If opposition really wants to take on PAP, it has to be WP or PSP, the rest will be defeated miserably.

After decades, opposition still refuses to see the reality, and keeps trying for nothing. Just let PAP walk over if there is no strong opposition party contesting. Given limited opposition resources, opposition should only concentrate on places that they might stand a chance. And most importantly, avoid 3 or more corner fight, this is the fundamental mistake that opposition is making in the past decades.

This is the unique characteristic of Singaporeans. Day in day out kpkb, but still vote miw because they too afraid to lose the chicken wings, now is vouchers.

Do not forget that at least a million Singaporeans are new citizens. They are well to do breed and definitely are die-hard miw supporters. This is part of the strategies to secure winning.

The incumbent party will never allow this to happen if they know that a particular SMC is in danger. That was why Joo Chiat was removed. Macpherson SMC was merged in this upcoming GE because TPL has done a solid job in the last 5 years. By merging Macpherson, the party is using the effect or appeal of TPL to secure win for the GRC. Go to Macpherson and talk to the residents there and you will know how well-like is TPL. TPL has proven herself better than Nico Seah who is a disaster for the WP. By right, Nico is a rising star in WP but she lets her "bottom" overcome the head. Huge loss to WP. By right, Nico is a strong contender in this GE.

but if u realized since then, it seems that they will confirm put in 1 or even 2 strong ministers in a grc if they feel that grc high chance will flip to opposition

eg. west coast x 2 full minister in ge2020
eg. east coast x 1 DPM last min put send there...
