If I'm "forced" to spoil/void my ballot, I might as well take myself off the electoral roll and save myself the trouble every handful of years. If that's what everyone is supposed to do, then might as well abolish democracy in Singapore too. GEs would just be a mere procedure to show a semblance of choice (e.g. Russia)

If you're content with your annual jiakhong, weekly DTF, can buy car buy condo, so be it. But that privilege doesn't extend to majority of Singaporean citizens who don't get to see the fruits of their labour. Perhaps you guys are the "clown" for thinking the incumbents have your interests at heart all the time... Stop dreaming. You can really tell us again that when you get into the doldrums. Personally how I feel too, there is only how long the ruling incumbents can continue to rely on past glory which was due mostly to the 1G leaders.

Just because their contribution back then initially was positive, does not mean they can continue to live off it.

Putin really did a lot for Russia back then, does not change the fact that he is plunging his countrymen to lower depths due to his actions now.
