You can see the tactic used by them. Since Trump announced the tariffs two weeks ago, the Ministers and PM one by one come out to talk bout how much it will impact Singapore. Yesterday SM Lee still talking about the seriousness of it. PAP will be dumb if it doesn’t take advantage of this. If wait a few more weeks, it is possible the tao hong Trump might U turn on his decision and the advantage for PAP to capitalise would be lost. Opportunity too good to be missed (for the PAP)

I think he’s too outspoken for the party leaders to accept, hence most likely he is stepping down and not contesting for the next GE

Might not be a bad thing as this could bring up better ideas/suggestions, rather than silly ideas that got implemented

Or it could be a case that he dun really fit into the party's "mould" of "saying yes" supporting other stuff?
