Punggol GRC is an easy ward to defend. Sun Xueling and Put2Cherry are popular amongst their constituents.

Hope they can field Alexis for the roundtable debate in Mandarin tomorrow. If she can show her strong debating skills, that will add a lot of points.

Cos have DPM Gan to guard the gate. Put Two Cherry, SXL and YWL Mei Mei wor.
But GKY with SXL did not do well against PSP in 2020. Except for 2015, they averaged about 60%. Now they are contesting against a formidable WP team represented by their top 2 candidates. Another factor that will go against them is the younger electorate in Punggol. Slim win at best. How can you be so sure?

To be honest, I feel this issue is the lowlight of the elections so far. It exposed how uncaring Singaporeans are. Focus on bread and butter issues you say, but the Gazans have none of those and no home.
WP already said they are viewing the Gaza issue from a humanitarian lens. But people try to score political points by saying they are mixing religion into politics.
I also feel for our Muslim fellow citizens. It now seems taboo to support the Palestine cause, just because a Malay Muslim opposition leader went to stand in a GRC with high proportion of the Malay community.
Elections bring out the worst side of people truly.

I think this boils down to different way of life between Chinese, which are the majority race, and Malay-Muslims

to many Chinese, we place money above all else so bread and butter issues are our utmost concern.

to Malay-Muslims, many of their life are often centered around religion.

This is a Huge gamble that PM LW is willing to take, losing a DPM at risk here thus it must be a calculate risk. We shall know the result by Sunday morning.

Yeah, the Punggol TC managed this issue poorly. They gave the residents a form to do a survey/poll and to see if they consent to TC to install bird netting at a/c ledge at TC cost. Said result will be posted 2 weeks after the given survey/poll dateline ends. It is already 5 months and no result was posted. And no further follow up news.

Mattar.Alia's FB Post:

The rising costs of living is a key concern of many Singaporeans, especially for Singaporean families.

As a mother of three wonderful children, I understand the worries about the costs of bringing up children in Singapore. As someone taking care of an aged parent, I worry about the rising medical costs, especially for our seniors.

Fellow Singaporeans, this is our nation. We are the stakeholders. We are acting for the care of our country, our future generations, and our collective future.

At tonight’s Punggol GRC rally, we will share with you the Singapore we envision - unity in diversity - as a party that is #WorkingforSingapore.

Janil 5 years work active only once
He only spawns during selected events like opening ceremony, festive celebration, etc. Hotspot to catch him is at One Punggol when it happens. Damn rare. I still missing him in my Pokedex after 5 years.
