Point 1, which a bro correct states, the vote shift towards opposition is due to unhappiness in the residents. How unhappy are Punggol residents?

Point 2, my comment will anger anyone who does not agree with me. But at least allow me to defend my point. How many GRCs have all these in one place:

1. Multiple MRT stations and include an interchange, and also bus interchange
2. University or Digital District
3. Safra
4. Hub or sport Hub
5. HDB designs that look like Condos
6. A waterway that dubbed "Venice"
7. An island for itself for recreation in nature
8. More than one shopping malls
9. Huge childcare centre + multiple other smaller ones
10. Feeder bus service + LRT running parallel

I list 10 above and all these are found just in Punggol. Maybe there is more I missed out But my main point is all these 10 above are found in Punggol. What more can Punggol residents ask for? To move the Parliament building there as well?

That's why I think it's time we vote for MPs for their main role, i.e. to speak up for residents their concerns in parliament and to provide the checks and balance.

Tonight there is Chinese roundtable and then a couple more rallies to go. In any case, hope WP candidate can wrap up well to remind Punggol residents what they are really voting for

On a National Level. (Reproduced from Reddit.) This is a list of non exhaustive issues you may wanna ponder over and rate the incumbent accordingly. You may or may not be affected by all nor agree that all are problems. However I see too many issues that are beyond a clean estate and covered walkways. Happy voting. 🙂 You can't say the same for Marine Parade folks.

As for Pt 1, GKY is new but he didn't make comments that lead residents to think he is unfamiliar with Punggol.

As for Pt 2, what I mean is Harpreet may put WP SK team at risk because of his comments
Because GKY makes no comment residents will still know he's unfamiliar with Pungol?

Pt 2 I disagree. Cos, as I said, Punggol team is Punggol team, SK team is SK team. Why would SK voters vote against the party just because of what other wards' candidate say about the ward he's contesting in. Unless, of cos, he was talking about SK ward. But he wasn't.

But I feel that this time Punggol will still remain in PAP's hands, it's still not as bad as Aljunied in 2011.

Back then you could literally feel the anger the residents had against Lim Hwee Hwa and Cynthia Phua for what the way they behaved in front of residents.

I was at the WP's rally last night and I don't think Punggol residents have quite reached that level yet.
Is true.. Can't show any hatred to my mp... Since I have never seen him in person for the 9 years I lived in punggol..

Frankly Tampines have 3 MRT stations alone and 1 bus interchange too. Not to mention 3 shopping malls. Plenty of new condos in the area too. There's Tampines SAFRA too although I don't know what's the relevance (I think SAFRA is something that should be abolished).

LRT system is laughable, you ask Bukit Panjang residents they hate the LRT.

SXL is very popular in Punggol West due to her visibility. Credit goes to her team including those helping with publicity. Banners and posters with her photo everywhere even before GE. Regular publication with almost all pages containing photos of her in the ward. There is even a wall mural painted with her in it that can be seen if you take bus along Punggol Way road.
Too bad.. 3 of the other places were from pasir ris punggol.. Punggol east however were traitors for charles chong.. hope they repent

lets hope the SDA voters of the past cherish their only chance at wp.. if not next time will get sda again

*is true.. I chose my bto because it is walking distance to safra
