Got some truth to this...the younger generation don't really play for the badge or the club.....all they are keen in is to play for money (new contract with ridiculously high wages) or personal glory/fame. they put themselves first before the team.
And when they don't get what they want, they start showing negative attitude. slowly they are becoming like Pogbas.
What to do, when the club sold players like McT who would probably lay down his life for the club and buying overinflated egoistic players and making humble ones turn mercenary by inflating their wages?

it has been proven that the glazers doesn't know how to run a english club whereby the rules in Europe are very different from owning a sports team in the US. In US all the teams belong to a sports entertainment franchise and money is distributed among all the teams and no sports team goes bankrupt. In Europe this isn't the case, every club has to earn their own money and can close down if you are not careful with your finances, especially with FFP now.

If Man united ever get relegated and goes into the history books, Glazers would be a classic textbook example of how NOT to run a European football club.

Manchester United have been told the signing of Matheus Cunha will not provide an instant fix for their problems, with one former star raising concerns over what the Brazilian can bring to the Red Devils and with club bosses also told why they will rue missing out on another top summer target.

However, former United star Gordon Strachan has doubted the wisdom in the capture, suggesting Cunha may not fit in well with Amorim’s favoured formation.

“Manchester United’s interest in Matheus Cunha is good news for the club – he’s a great player and very talented,” Strachan began on Esports Insider, before adding. “But with his 3-4-3 formation, where will Ruben Amorim play him? That’s the thing, Amorim’s formation is a problem.

“Will United play him where he plays now for Wolves? Will they stick him in midfield? Where does he fit into Amorim’s formation? Will he be the one up top? I don’t think so.”

Strachan isn’t totally writing Cunha off at Old Trafford, but does feel the Red Devils need to sign another top star alongside him for the capture of the 13-times capped Brazil star to prove a success.

Strachan, though, feels missing out on Delap could hit United hard.

“I think Liam Delap would have been a brilliant signing for United if he hadn’t chosen Chelsea. He’s young, hungry, has no baggage coming from Ipswich, is a great finisher, and defenders don’t like coming up against him,” he said.

“Cunha and Delap would have been a nice, fresh combo. They would be a great combination – both fresh and hungry. But getting the right supply system around any new attackers is just as important, which is something Amorim will need to work out as well.”

Before he starts to play 1 game already there is someone who will say the signing is a mistake.

£100 million for a 30 yr old is very good transfer amount because after 2 yrs or 3 yrs he may start to decline. He is not a big game player as he couldn't win the big games single handed. When the going gets tough he will show his frustration with his hand gestures. Liverpool sold Coutinho for £105 million in 2018 & used the funds to rebuild. Tottenham sold Harry Kane for £100 million.

When the opportunity comes grab it & sell. Use the funds to rebuild the team by signing the correct players.

Manchester United have Jean-Philippe Mateta at the top of their striker shortlist and Crystal Palace are willing to sell him for a bargain fee, but two European heavyweights are also in the race, TEAMtalk understands.

Mateta’s contract with Palace is set to expire in 2027, as Palace have triggered the option to extend his current deal by another year. This could still mean they will be forced to consider bids, however.

United are poised to make a move for the 27-year-old striker in the near future, but must move quickly to beat the competition to his signature as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Co look to back Amorim in rebuilding the squad.

Jurgen Klopp was just over a year into his time at Liverpool and struggling to revive the team while Coutinho, like Fernandes at United, was the team's best and most creative player. It was a blow to Liverpool's prospects and prestige when the Brazil international moved to Camp Nou, but Klopp's team never looked back from that moment onward. Van Dijk arrived from Southampton for £75m and Alisson became the world's most expensive goalkeeper when signing from Roma for £67m.

The Coutinho deal showed that no player is irreplaceable. Liverpool lost a big name but replaced him with two players who would go on to become Anfield legends.

United are clearly a better team with Fernandes in it, but last season showed that they are still not a very good one. Perhaps the best move for United would be to take the money for Fernandes and use it to sign the players that Amorim desperately needs. A goalkeeper, a right back, a central midfielder, and an attacking midfielder are all desperately required if Man United are to be transformed from also-rans in the bottom half of the table.

They just have to take the Coutinho path and make sure they avoid the Bale one.

Manchester United will step-up their bid to sign Bryan Mbuemo in a £50m deal after missing out on Liam Delap.

But United are growing confident of being able to lure Mbuemo to Old Trafford, with Amorim keen to make the forward an integral part of his future plans.

And Amorim believes the addition of Mbuemo would give United one of the most feared attacks in the top flight.

Need to sign fast & physical players. Cunha & Mbuemo are fast & physical players.

Following the signing of Matheus Cunha, United are reportedly considering another Premier League addition. The Red Devils are said to be keen on Brighton star Pervis Estupinan.

The club have reportedly made an enquiry about the defender, who is seen to boost the team's physicality. This is despite the fact that United only signed Patrick Dorgu in January and still have Luke Shaw available.

However, Amorim doesn't believe his current squad possesses enough speed or physical strength.

Premier League side Man Utd have been ‘offered’ a Barcelona player in exchange for Marcus Rashford this summer, according to reports.

Man Utd don’t want to loan Rashford out this summer but the La Liga giants ‘can’t currently afford to pay directly’ for the €4om asking price.

But ‘an idea has emerged and begun to circulate strongly within the sporting management: offering Marc-Andre ter Stegen as part of a player swap.’

Barcelona ‘would be open to including the German in the deal if the signing of Joan Garcia is finally completed’ with Man Utd ‘looking for a goalkeeper’ after Onana’s poor season in net.

Ter Stegen ‘would be willing to accept a change of scenery’ after ‘feeling he is being pushed towards the exit door’ in recent weeks because of Barcelona’s search for a new goalkeeper.

And now Barcelona and Man Utd’s idea of a potential swap deal ‘is already on the table and has begun to be considered by both sides’.

This transfer Man Utd playing safe by signing Cunha & trying to sign Mbeumo. These 2 players have Premier league experience & they have played well for their clubs last season.

Pre-season need to get Chido Obi ready for next season.

According to TBR, Man Utd have been offered the chance to sign former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

The report has claimed that Abraham ‘wants a move back to the Premier League’ and has noted that AS Roma striker’s ‘willingness to move’ to Man Utd.

‘Manchester United are one of the clubs who have been approached by his representatives regarding a possible move’, according to the report.

Abraham, who joined AS Roma from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 for £34million, spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at AC Milan.

The 27-year-old striker, whose last England cap was in 2022, scored 10 goals and gave seven assists in 45 appearances for the Rossoneri this past season.

West Ham United, Everton and Newcastle United have shown interest in Abraham, who is on the radar of Aston Villa and Leeds United as well.
