Hope if Man Utd can sign Mbeumo & these 2 players can turn out to be another Andy Cole & Dwight Yorke partnership.

Means we got fire power now in attacks
so what is the team best midfield combination from the list assuming Bruno, Rashford, Anthony and Sancho had left and Casemiro will not be fielded frequently.
Ugarte, Amad, Mainoo, Mount ( if fit), Amass, Dalot ( why is he still around?), Dorgu, Mazaroui ?

What to do, when the club sold players like McT who would probably lay down his life for the club and buying overinflated egoistic players and making humble ones turn mercenary by inflating their wages?

it has been proven that the glazers doesn't know how to run a english club whereby the rules in Europe are very different from owning a sports team in the US. In US all the teams belong to a sports entertainment franchise and money is distributed among all the teams and no sports team goes bankrupt. In Europe this isn't the case, every club has to earn their own money and can close down if you are not careful with your finances, especially with FFP now.

If Man united ever get relegated and goes into the history books, Glazers would be a classic textbook example of how NOT to run a European football club.

Most of the players in recent years that are willing to join were probably due to a better paycheck or treat the club as a stepping stone. The issue is the club was crazy to give these new signing a big salary jump without knowing if they can deliver. I am sure many like me do not know Antony before he came over.... but his transfer fee was way too high plus a big fat weekly salary is just absolutely crazy.... and the other problem is when an academy player is doing well.. the club will give him a good salary increment hoping to reward him and expecting him to deliver.. it does not work that way for most players.

Rashford is the best example..... Shaw came in with a decent weekly pay... but it has been skyrocketing with every renewal........ and now Mainoo thinks he is worth 200K per week too....

I believe MU shld have the highest number of players in the 100-200K per week bracket but is not in the top 5 finishers.

Scary indeed !

Manchester United have moved on from Liam Delap and will now look to sign Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo in a £50million deal this summer. The Red Devils are growing increasingly confident of being able to lure the forward to Old Trafford after the striker indicated he wanted to move to the club.

The Red Devils have returned their attention to Mbeumo after missing out to Chelsea for Ipswich Town Forward Delap. The 22-year-old former Man City youngster is primed to be announced as the Blues' newest signing after undergoing his medical, with Chelsea having agreed to pay his £30m release clause.

Mbeumo can be a better signing than Delap because he is fast & physical. This current Man Utd team is not physical enough. Antony & Sancho are not physical players. They are soft players. This is the reason they failed at Man Utd.

Hojlund is considered a physical player due to his frame and build. But he is not considered successful.

You don't need to be fast and physical if the tam knows how to play to your strength. But for a forward that relies very much on teammates to feed the balls to him, we are probably one of the worst teams in the premier league. Our plays seldom see us put in crosses regularly into the box for big frame forwards, instead we play a ball to feet style in the middle of the park and expecting forwards to dribble past defenders otherwise they can only lay it off for the wingers who cut inside and take shots. Not sayign that this is a bad idea but we are too reliant on only one source of goals, and that restricts our attack which is very one dimensional.

At this point in time you would have thought that if we were playing the crossing game of Moyes would we be better in terms of goal output.

that is where the irony comes in........
not sure if u notice.. when they start to put Maguire as a make shift striker... they will start pumping ball into the penalty box....... but seldom do so if Hojlund was playing..... although both of them are of similar height..

Jose Mourinho has already told Manchester United and Ruben Amorim why one disadvantage about Bryan Mbeumo won’t necessarily be a problem for the Red Devils.

Mbeumo was one of the Premier League’s best last season, hitting 20 goals in all competitions for Brentford. His goal-scoring prowess is one of the many advantages the Cameroonian could bring to Old Trafford.

Should United sign him, Mbeumo will miss part of the 25/26 campaign due to African Cup of Nations commitments. The 25-year-old represents Cameroon, and would surely be part of their squad.

Mourinho previously told United legend Rio Ferdinand that if you’re a ‘top team’, this is no issue, as you’ll have squad depth.

Mourinho told Rio Ferdinand Presents in 2024: “That is a problem [AFCON] that we know. I always felt that, if you were in a top team and you have African players, it’s not a problem.

Mourinho went on to explain the fond relationship he always had with players of African descent.

“I always loved and I always had a great response from African players,” Mourinho continued.

“To be honest I love the guys, and I feel that the African player is very loyal and very pure.”

United will surely have the depth to deal with Mbeumo’s omission for the month, and we agree with Jose, it would not be a deciding factor on whether to bring him to Old Trafford.

This may mean Mbeumo could miss up to around eight to ten fixtures, depending on how Cameroon got on.

Man Utd will also miss Amad because he plays for Ivory Coast. Ivory Coast always qualify for AFCON.

Hojlund was signed from Atalanta and would return to a league he already knows. Napoli would receive a transfer fee along with Hojlund. In return, United would finally add a proven striker to their squad.

It would be an ideal outcome, although it's probably wishful thinking and United might not be happy to stump up a fee, and include Hojlund in a deal, to bring Osimhen to Manchester.

Napoli were entertaining bids in the region of £70million for Osimhen before talks collapsed with Chelsea. Around £30m and Hojlund would reportedly be entertained for a sensational swap deal.

There is also the issue of Osimhen's wage demands. They are rarely a problem in football, but the striker's demands were too much for Chelsea last summer and could be a stumbling block again.

A deal will only be possible if Osimhen is willing to lower his wage demands.

These are the recent African players who had played for the club
Amad is definitely the best of the lots in term of contribution

I had great expectation of Eric Bailly but seem his judgement at times are very questionable which resulted in goals or fouls given. The other one that I like will be Amrabat...but he was not given much time to improve.

The rest are very forgettable even though one of them is still starting almost every game..
Djemba Djemba shld be the folklore.. brought in to be Keane understudy but was sold to Villa within a season or two,

Eric Bailly (Ivory)
Eric Djemba-Djemba (Cameroon)
Mame Biram Diouf (Senegal)
Quinton Fortune (South Africa)
Wilfried Zaha ( Ivory)
Manucho (Angola)
Odion Ighalo (Nigeria)
Amad Diallo ( Ivory)
André Onana (Cameroon)
Hannibal Mejbri ( Tunisia)
Manucho (Angola)
Sofyan Amrabat (Morocco)

Despite crazy salary proposal from Saudi Pro League club, Bruno Fernandes decides he wants to continue playing football in Europe on the best stage possible.

Manchester United captain wants to play at top level.

No £100 million transfer fee for Man Utd. Looks like Man Utd will be unable to sell any player for £100 million for a long time. Ratcliffe may need put in some extra funds (£100 million) into Man Utd to be able to spend on signing players.

Look like Fernandes will retire at Man Utd. He will be a more complete player if he can score against the top teams & not disappear during these big games. He needs to score against Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Newcastle & Tottenham & win against these teams. If Man Utd gets to the FA Cup or Carabao Cup final he will need to score to win the final. He will not be able to play at the top level if he can't beat the top teams or win in the final.

Gary Neville believes that Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho should all leave Manchester United this summer. Former captain Neville has also named one player who the Red Devils desperately need to keep hold of and 'build around'.

But one academy product who Neville doesn't want the Red Devils to sell is Kobbie Mainoo. "On these five I'm pretty certain," he began on the It's Called Soccer podcast. "Marcus Rashford has to leave for him and the club. I think that ship has sailed and he needs to find himself another club.

Man Utd wanted to sell players permanent but other clubs only interested in signing them on loan. This include Rashford, Sancho & Antony.
