Yesterday took T21 from JB Sentral to Mid Valley SouthKey and for the return journey.
Used Google Pay (Trust Cashback CC) on my phone for payment.
Received notification this morning that
RM 5.60 was charged, so it is RM 2.80 for one way.
Anybody knows the correct fare for this trip from JB Sentral to Mid Valley SouthKey on T21?

NjbR7og.png

I paid RM 5.60 for 2 way in Apr.

Recently I came across this video (around the 30s mark), the guy asked the driver for the fare and he said RM 2.

But somebody else in the Youtube comments said they changed the fare to RM 1.50 now?

I took T21 from JB Sentral to Permas Aeon in late May was Rm2.10 , return was RM1.90

iirc, it's ard the same price to Mid Valley when I took it last year...

Someone commented in the YouTube video that he was charged RM2.80 4 days ago for tapping with VISA 😵💫

If there's a difference in fare prices, ManjaLink card > Visa/MC > Cash.

From the board while queuing for CWL bus at Kranji, I believe the fares are different.

ManjaLink has their own exchange rates.

Visa/MC will be bank rates, right?

Cash... you give them more work to deal with the cash after work, so...

T21 from JB Sentral to Mid Valley is RM 1.50 and vice versa using manjalink.

Problem with manjalink, is that if one is not a frequent traveller, need to reload RM 30 to maintain the validity for 6 months. It is like, using only RM 15 and keep reloading within the 6 months period.

Of course those using second link, won't have this issue, due to the high fares deduction.

Q25. Does my ManjaLink Card have an expiry date?
The ManjaLink Card no longer has an expiry date, neither for the card itself nor for the credit balance within it. This change ensures that even less frequent users are taken care of.

I always, received notification to reload the manjalink on a 6 monthly basis to revive it's validity. I understand, there isn't an expiry date on the card. However, the validity of the card is always a question. It is because of your frequent visits and reload that allows the card to remain valid. Try not using after 6 months of validity, and try to tap in again, without any reload of RM 30.

So you have your card in the Lugo app?

I've a handful of cards in my possession, as well as a couple I've given away, all saved in the app and all still listed as Active though only 2 were used like 3 months ago. On and off I'd use another pair instead, without any issue so far.

All except those given away have a minimum balance of RM30 at all times.

I've never received any notice to reload...

Ok, if I remember on my next trip, I'll swop to one of the other cards again.

Edit : Oh, I also have an old limited edition card with RM2 left that I've no intention to use and was waiting for it to die a natural death. Even that is listed as Active in the app.

I have the Lugo App. Each time, it indicated to reload RM 30 to maintain the validity. Reason being, I only used this card for travels to Mid Valley, thereby only used up RM 3 for each trip with return. As I don't used it only perhaps on a monthly basis to Mid Valley, how much would have been deducted? Thereafter the Lugo App will indicates need to reload to maintain validity for another 6 months. Hence, I have the intention to let the card expires and forgo the amount remaining, after 6 months.

The Lugo app sent you notification to reload? That's strange coz those few cards I've either given away or stopped wanting to use have less than RM5 in them, yet still indicated as Active in the app. No notification whatsoever too...

Too bad, the previous transaction records on the Lugo App have been erased, only showing the last reload of RM 30 on 050525. Otherwise, I would be able to screenshot and proved, what I have said is true. This business model of reload is similar, to what Celcom and Maxis, does for the prepaid Sim cards. Reload to maintain validity, or otherwise lose the Sim totally. At least, manjalink still retains, with a reload than to maintain.

Ya, I was just going to ask you coz I don't think you've the chance to use it more than once every 6 months or so. :s13:

I'll not doubting you, but just curious to know what's causing it.

If you change the calender dates of the transaction history, you should be able to retrieve that... Oh, unless the notification is gone...
