summary of observation:

from 1st link,
board at Sultan Iskandar CIQ, bus dunno where you want to go, so only charge you rm 2.6
board at Woodland checkpoint, each bus knows where you want to go, so deduct the the amount difference from if you pay upfront with cash (rm2.2 to queen st, rm0 to kranji, rm2 to newton circus)

every bus knows you want to go CIQ, so charge max fare according to each bus number (rm4.5 from gelang patah/hotel ramada/hotel jen, rm6 from BI/perling/sutera, rm7 from tuta, rm8 from pontian). after cross border, they don't care where you want to go and no extra charge.

Inside supermarket like Aeon also have.

Aeon Tebrau kind is pre packed le. You know like in SG's Giant and certain Shell petrol kiosk, they have scope and bag yourself kind.

Yesterday took T21 from JB Sentral to Mid Valley SouthKey and for the return journey.
Used Google Pay (Trust Cashback CC) on my phone for payment.
Received notification this morning that
RM 5.60 was charged, so it is RM 2.80 for one way.

Anybody knows the correct fare for this trip from JB Sentral to Mid Valley SouthKey on T21?

I paid RM 5.60 for 2 way in Apr.

Recently I came across this video (around the 30s mark), the guy asked the driver for the fare and he said RM 2.


But somebody else in the Youtube comments said they changed the fare to RM 1.50 now?

iirc, it's ard the same price to Mid Valley when I took it last year...

Someone commented in the YouTube video that he was charged RM2.80 4 days ago for tapping with VISA ‍

i will never pay bus fare with visa/master. bad experience. even in sg also kena phantom charges. every few months simplygo charges my visa afew dollars. the card is completely not in use. its like under a pile of stuff on my table lol.
these kind of transactions that allow for adjustments, btr stay away

From the board while queuing for CWL bus at Kranji, I believe the fares are different.

ManjaLink has their own exchange rates.

Visa/MC will be bank rates, right?

I always, received notification to reload the manjalink on a 6 monthly basis to revive it's validity. I understand, there isn't an expiry date on the card. However, the validity of the card is always a question. It is because of your frequent visits and reload that allows the card to remain valid. Try not using after 6 months of validity, and try to tap in again, without any reload of RM 30.

The Lugo app sent you notification to reload? That's strange coz those few cards I've either given away or stopped wanting to use have less than RM5 in them, yet still indicated as Active in the app. No notification whatsoever too...
