nice

I still at the stage of trying panel lining.

buy some paints and some cheapo EG and HG to try painting on

go with gundam marker for panel lining first. the enamel panel lining liquid is prone to weakening and then cracking parts open, esp on RGs.

the panel lining marker (non pour type) with the blending marker (some ppl also use non staining eraser) makes the process fuss and stress free.

Maybe earlier releases, i only find Academy and Italeri got serious warping issues

i cannot stand academy and dragon. over engineered and got too many parts. and expensive.

i prefer takom, meng and border.

Quite true actually. A lot of those camo patterns were also applied in field conditions so ironically a roughly painted model is more "accurate" than one where the builder took great pains to ensure the paint is even and lines sharp.

this japanese grandfather hand paints AFV quite frequently. i follow his channel for a long time.

I started building ships and planes during my sec sch since late 80s until late 90s when I graduated from uni. I also wanted to do tanks but the camo skillset looks beyond me so I never tried it. I stopped the hobby right after I started working.

I still have an unboxed Junker JU82 Stuka dive bomber and Mil Mi-24 bought since late 90s at home haha

I've airbrush with compressor since decades back, rarely use. Need space and setup.

Then I bought this to try and love it. Don't need much space. Cheap, so I bought 2, can spray different colour at the same time.

You can use a fruit box or any carton box, or buy this. Foldable back into a small box.

I think with 3D printing, they can do it without making mould first bah.. maybe cheaper?
Yes cheaper and more costs effective; for mould one overcut means scrap. The only important aspectvis the data for the 3D file must be correct or corrected

Print one time wrong still a lot cheaper than paying for a injection mould...

The LED is not essential, it's the blower.
If you spray indoor, immediate surrounding area will have paint dust. You need a box, even a paper box from product you buy is better than none. Enamel or Spray Can mist is overwhelming. The box suck in the mist, trap in a filter and channel the smell thru the funnel. Just position it out of window.
Water soluble paint doesn't really need blower, so a box will do.
