i use 3 plastic bags, just make sure its tight and rightly squeeze to tight places and u dont spray too close lor, it should be fine.

else u just do vacuuming only lor
Oh no I have been washing.. I use cling wrap and tape it to the sides.. washing is the easy part .. trying to find a more convenient way to protect haha

My thinking is that there’s lots of jelly along the horizontal piping.
Also, not sure how to access the right side drain plug on the right side for the Daikin iSmile unit.
Any bro here know how to access the right side drain plug yet?
seems like starmex quite easy to access compared to Ismile

Yah, same - wanted to vacuum it, but can't access it.
That was when I noticed that the left plug was so easy to access on the Daikin iSmile.

maybe need open up more area to access it, like the whole drain pan or the black power compartment?
got try before?
hopefully here got iSmile owner flush/vacuum drain pipe before can share the tips:)

Thx bro 🙏 drainage pipe clogged is a very common problem when aircon used heavily as our humidity is crazy high. too bad this video they never do flushing/vacuum😅

pipe can many ways, u can suck at the drainage exit or u can suck at the entrace, u also can pour down sodium bicarbonate to dissolve.

For me, i suck at the exit, suck for all the rooms at one go.

So no need to suck for each FCU, just suck at the exit enough? The first time last year I did mine using a wet vacuum I did all the FCUs and the drainage. Came out a lot of the jelly substance. The latest round I did about 2 weeks ago only water came out and a lot less than the previous round which made me think maybe can suck directly from the exit. I got one FCU which the entrance pipe is blocked due to the way it was installed.

so did u remember ur order, did u suck the exit last? Next time u try suck the exit first, see all the jelly accumulate then try individual entrance then u might have the answers. :)

The aircon cleaning crew did mention that it seems like two (or more?) of my FCU drainage pipes merge into a single pipe outlet. Hence, cannot vacuum from outlet.
Perhaps yours is the same situation.

Seems like we need to unscrew and dislodge the black component box at the right side to access the drainage plug.

Anyone tried manual blowing method? Wonder if blowing the jelly out through the drainage pipe from FCU might be more effective than vacuuming out from the pipe, guess no harm doing both.

I haven’t had anyone service my aircon units since COVID started. It was neglected to the point when the big one in the living room leaked last year that I started reading this thread then slowly start to clean it within my own means.
I tried to be more adventurous by attempting to remove the drum once, but gave up after I realized taking out the outer cover wasn’t as easy as how youtube videos made it seem.

I recently discovered one area on my wall which has an aircon pipe (concealed by plasterboard) leading to a bedroom, seems to show signs of leaking. The plasterboard feels damp to touch and have stains.
The FCU nearest to the suspected leakage isn’t showing any signs of water leaking.

Can anyone advise what I should do now? I’m not sure if such problems can be handled solely be aircon service technicians since it involves concealed aircon pipes.
