It's not a must if you don't want to. It's more important for non x3d chips as there's less cache to be used on the chip spilling over to RAM and faster RAM means more performance in that case.
No. Because Biwin is an OEM brand from China. They usually make SSDs for Acer and HP. Didn't expect to see their products locally. In fact, I'm using Biwin nv7400 4TB.By "interesting" Biwin SSDs... is that in a negative sense?
Is there a better decent all round brand for SSDs that are generally recommended? I assume I'll eventually have to get something like a 4TB SSD for the large amounts of data storage needed for their projects.
I actually have been seriously considering mini pc. I think it likely will be able to fit what I need to do/use for. but am a sucker for big-arse casing and also easier to self replace parts if needed.

I will choose ultra core 7. More cores.I think I can do a little better than the floor if that is what Aftershock is like.
I've been looking through invader's list and following @abstrax's advice on budgeting, the below 2 setups are what I've shortlisted to fit within my lower budget of 1.3k+. I have opted to change the PSU (based on SPL's PSU Tier List) to go from "E Tier" to "B Tier".
Any advice on further slight changes to be made? Are there any glaring parts which are as terrible as that particular "aftershock gigabyte mobo" and the "E Tier PSU" that I have missed out?

i would lean towards the 7600 + 5060ti build, simply because it is more well balanced. maya is primarily a single core workload, which means the 245k is probably unlikely to offer as big of an improvement as u may see in benchmarks. unreal is also very gpu heavy, so the stronger gpu helps.

as deepblue mentioned, any of ryzen 5000g (make sure to get one with the -g suffix) will have integrated graphics, so u will be able to run off motherboard video outs. if u need to have more cpu performance, u can opt for ryzen 7000/9000 or intel too, as all of those cpus (other than those with the -f suffix) have integrated graphics.
the triton is already pretty ok, the 5060ti doesnt need that much power anyway. the top up is also quite exorbitant i feel, not to mention the pc is already overbudget

u can start with the supreme s19 98x3d + 5090, then add the gskill flare x5 2x 32gb 6000mhz cl30, tryx panorama 360, x870e aorus elite ice and 2tb 990 pro (ssd upgrade not addon). the ram is more well suited for am5 cpus (7200mhz sounds better but u have to use 1:2 uclk to mclk which introduces latency) and u get more of it, u get an actually good looking and performing aio (thanks @KleoZy !) and a proper high end tlc ssd that doesnt crap the bed the moment u try actually loading stuff into it. if ur ok with not having the curved aio display, u can settle for some of the thermalright lcd aio options and (if u wish) spend the saving on a 9100 pro, either way is just under 6k.

u probably dont need additional fans, since they already provide 4 and the aio has 3, filling up all the fan slots on the case. i do have to note that the 5090 ventus is probably one of the worse models in terms of noise and temperatures, though u can select the suprim liquid for an additional 1k (strangely all the other air cooled models are 2k top ups
