yeah i also just installed 5gbps, but i test on my wifi still like 500mbps, so basically wasted too. They give me the hb611, and i think from the ONT, i connected to my Xiaomi AX6000, i think i need to upgrade in order to get best wifi.

Any budget suggestion? I was thinking if the TP Link BE805 can replace this HB611, and than go from there. I have direct wire to 1 of my bedroom, i plan to use a xiaomi router as well BE5000. I wonder for like devices like laptop, wireless pc, etc how does it go from there?

I am upgrading from Singtel 1gbps to 3GBPS for my in laws place. Got offered ONR + 2x HB611 for 39.90 via their WhatsApp.

Now they are trying to schedule 2 seperate appointments. One for the installation of the new onr etc. But also a second, earlier appointment for the netlink trust. But I kind of already have an existing fibre termination point.

What could this spurious netlink trust appointment be, and can I cancel it?

The first NLT appointment is required since Singtel will use the second Fibre Terminal port to activate the new 3Gbps service (XGS-PON based).

At least my one is like that in last August 2024.

It may depend on the location.
mine was the guy come down install the new onr using same patch cord into same slot, then call his colleague to start the activation process and we just sit there and wait... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

i did the speed test just kind of beside like 100m away from the router. I saw 1 bro, actually upgraded his wifi card on this laptop, and managed to get about 3mbps, perhaps i also need to do this. For PC, any recommendations?

i speedtest wifi just beside the hb611 using my wifi 7 phone i can hit 1gbps~

Most of the WiFi 7 iPhones are limited to 160MHz, so it's quite hard to fully saturate the 2.5Gbe link.

The fastest I've seen on my iPhone 16 Pro Max is about 1.4Gbps on my 5Gbps plan.

Uh... The WiFi 7 iPhones can't hit 320MHz. The maximum channel bandwidth that they can reach is 160MHz.

Even if you set your 6GHz bandwidth to 320MHz (like I have) and turn on MLO, I typically can't get anything more than 1.4Gbps via Speedtest to a Singtel test server. So I am curious where and how you are hitting 2.1Gbps on an iPhone?

Ah. That makes more sense.

With regards to the Googling, there is plenty of speculation as to why the iPhones are only running at 160MHz, but even if it had 320MHz, the bottleneck for my access point is still the 2.5Gbe port.

Even on my Windows laptop with a Intel BE200 adapter, the speeds I see on Singtel's HB810 isn't the full 5Gbps as compared to a hardwired connection.

hb810 got 2 10gbe ports, your 2nd node not plugged to the 10gbe port?

I'm only using one HB810 at my new place.

For my current place, I've got a Ubiquiti setup instead.
probably is wifi adapter. the spec sheet max speed is 5.8gbps so i would give it some leeway as long as the link speed is close enough.
