Set up my trust link card with the fair price app and noticed that I cannot pay through the app at kopitiam as I do not have funds in my trust bank savings account.

Need to deposit a minimum amount before I can start using the card ?
Does the cash back card have the same issue ?
you set your TRUST card credit card or debit card?

The light blue trust link card is debit card ?
Then the dark blue cash back card is credit card ?
Dark blue - correct

Light blue is just mean the card owner is not NTUC member, can be credit , can be debit. Depend what you choose when you apply.

If at the beginning, you apply saving account, this card will be a debit card.

If at the beginning, apply as credit card, then open saving account. This card can be debit or credit, which you can set at TRUST app.

I have trust Cashback card and it cannot be linked to bank account for debitting.

Does anyone know if I withdraw cash overseas and then immediately payback on the same day, there is no interest?

By right if you have the Cashback card and Trust bank account, you can withdraw direct from ATM.
You don’t need to switch to debit mode

Don’t always think it must be a debit card to withdraw from an ATM.

My DBS credit card works as an ATM card

Ya. Maybe I will drop Trust CS a note to clarify.
I understand they have common pool for both cashback and link card for bill payment…so maybe might work.
I am pending this to get rid of my youtrip card.
did you manage to find out if it works? am looking at the same too

Something to share for those traveling to Indonesia

I used trust card saving mode to withdraw local currency in indonesia. I used danamon bank atm. No local bank fee charges.

I also tried BCA and cimb niaga atm, but each charge bank fee of 75,000 and 65,000 respectively.

Rates is good. Almost same as Google rates.

New changes from March, the Mari Credit Card actually seems to be better overall now (1.5% cashback, 0% FX, Mastercard slightly better FX spread). ,The Trust Cashback card can keep as backup.

1. More cashback on your preferred category 🥳
Good news! From 1 March 2026, you’ll enjoy additional unlimited cashback on top of your quarterly cashback1.
What’s new:
  • 1% unlimited cashback on Local Eligible Spend2 in your preferred category
  • 0.5% unlimited cashback on Foreign Eligible Spend2 in your preferred category
Your additional cashback will be credited instantly once transactions are completed and posted.
2. Update on Foreign Eligible Spend2 (non-preferred category)
From 1 March 2026:

  • Foreign Eligible Spend2 in your non-preferred category will earn 0.5% unlimited cashback (previously 1%)
  • No change to cashback earned on Local Eligible Spend2 in your non-preferred category, which will continue to earn 1% unlimited cashback
3. Revised min. monthly spend tier
From 1 March 2026, the S$1,000 minimum monthly spend tier will be removed.
If your Cashback card quarter ends on 31 Mar 2026 or 30 Apr 2026, the revised min. monthly spend tiers will apply starting from your next quarter.

Simply saying

1. For local spend, regardless of preferred or non preferred category (eg. U choose shopping as preferred). Whether u spend on shopping or eating will also get 1% cash back

2. For foreign spend, categories don’t matter anymore, all only 0.5% cash back regardless wat category you spend on.

correct?

they trying to confuse and be sneaky though

Yeah
Seems like overall nerf to those who use the card for foreign spending

For local spending, the 1% seems to be additional to the current preferred category cashback? And they also removed the 1k spending tier, so now either spend 500/month or 2k/month to qualify for their upscale cashback

But then i'm not sure how many people actually use this card for local spending given how complicated it is to clock all the categorises, and better general cashback cards from other banks

Seems right to me, the email is worded as "additional unlimited cashback on top of quarterly"

i use this solely for train/bus rides since the cards i use cannot be link to gpay or dosen't accept train/bus for cashback :censored:
For bus/mrt the DBS yuu card will probably give you the best cashback in yuu points though (5%) with no min spend required.
