I think having sun is better than no sun at all.

When I bought my current house I remb asking the agent if it faces western sun. He confirm to me the unit don’t face the sun.

Literally meant wat he said. End up my unit really don’t get any sun at all. Sometimes pek cek the clothes don’t get to dry fast

By the way, all the neighbors on the same deck are facing the same condition (not issue, not problem).

What makes him so special? Bcos he garnered more attention on social media?

SINGAPORE: A man took to social media to vent about a big mistake he made when buying his HDB flat — its sun-facing orientation.
In a recent post on the r/askSingapore Reddit forum, he talked about his regret, saying that his flat basically turns into an oven from noon onwards, making it super uncomfortable to even hang out in the living room.
“Me and my wife were sold by the view of the unit. When we were at the viewing. Aircon is on as usual. However, after purchasing and signing the OTP. I realised it has the western sun!!!” he exclaimed.
“Now every afternoon between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. We are BBQ-ed. To the extent that I even got a heat rash in my living room while playing a game.”
Still, despite the sweltering afternoons, the man said he and his wife “love the flat” because everything else is perfect, and that they “can live with this one regret”.

Well, that's a classic case of "should've thought of that before buying, huh?" Maybe they can start a new trend of outdoor cooking indoors! Or invest in some heavy-duty curtains. Lesson learned, I guess!

Sinkies mentality.. those who voted for white party will always say this... costs of living very expensive, overcrowded etc but they still vote for white party becos they can live with these regret becos they love the white party.

Might as well say, he realised he bought the wrong BTO, bcos he realised that it is not a landed... or maybe he realised that how come not swimming pools? No security guards?

Yes, getting a property always needs to avoid
- west facing
- rubbish chute centre
- next to main road or expressway
- next to mrt track
- next to basketball or tennis court
- next to temple, mosque or church

IMHO.
Depends on the developer.
My place, one bedroom wall and kitchen window face western.
The pro - kitchen dry. Can hang laundry in the kitchen.
The con - bedroom hotter

I look opposite blocks, living room facing main road, some folks hang laundry there to dry.
