I want a smaller pad mainly for media consumption, browsing, etc. So I dun see a need for such a powerful chip which makes more sense in a larger tablet.

I'm a bit shocked by the price. Was expected S$500-600. lol
I was already expecting high price when it was reported to be pitted against ipad mini. That's why I went for the cheaper iplay70 mini ultra instead. Maybe few months later, they might release a Redmi version with cut down specs and lower price

Just wait for the 9.9 sale.
There may be $90 off $700 voucher, and hopefully the Xiaomi voucher still exists

10.10 you meant? :o
Yes, didn't hoot yet and hoping all the vouchers are available and usable in the upcoming sale!

Wah, you log the sales one ah. Sibei effort. 💯
What's the best deals possible then since your logging ah?

Oh yah. 10.10.
I collected 4 months of data to analyse.
They have the x.x sale, mid-month 15th sale, and payday 25th sale.

Sales usually last for 4 to 5 days.
Can order on 3rd day. If day 4 has better deals, cancel and re-order again.
There was once I had to return and item, to order at a lower price
