I witnessed several times, tgey just dun give any fk at all. Zooming zig zagging around pedestrians.

Thing is they dun have any bells installed. Just quietly overtake people from behind.

Gov must put a stop to these nonsense, also those spandex gangs. They imagine wear spandex is transformed into superman, spiderman, wonder woman
Pedestrian on cycling or shared path, then another story. Cannot totally avoid conflicts one. But think one big problem is, think many, if not most of the ebike for delivery tend are post market modded to reach higher speed and longer battery power.

So, they are as powerful as motobike, but riding on path shared with pedestrian. Go imagine lor. Even bicycle also scared of them. Happened to once banged head on into one such ebike on a bicycle at a blind corner. Even when at low speed, can really feel the huge pushed back force from the ebike. Can't imagine hit people how.

And think quite some ebike when on the road they tend ignore traffic light one. Even major traffic junction (small one don't say, many people including pedestrian do so). Cause they can really speed up faster than most vehicles, so they just chiong as long as see no vehicle. Thus need to be even more careful keep a lookout when crossing the road with them around.

Hope police while investigating him go to his house check for vapes.... A lot of bikers, smoke vapes then get high ride bikes zooming here and there.... They get high then ride bikes dangerously around....

Indirect cause of expensive motorcycle coe? I don't understand why not make motorcycle coe cheap and shift the u regulated to regulated and also create Jobe for workshops.

And not start burning houses.

say it in simple terms :ROFLMAO: ,thank you. My actual meaning was there's not enough enforcement going on for all this errant riders . Many times pple do that because they know there's not enough enforcement being done. Your supposed to slow down while approaching a blind bend/corner or slow down overtaking a person that's unaware of ur presence.

you have understood it perfectly.

If not wrong, think local got 20kg weight limit for ebike. But come on lor. If not too silly, except for the small small ebike, think many ebike out there one look can see its more than 20kg. Especially those with big tires one. Their battery like cannon so big. Think battery itself 10-20kg liao. Don't say the big frame and tires.

Got heard before some commented, if their battery flat out, they will have problem cycling. Say is pedal assisted but really is cannot pedal alone one without the power. Cause too heavy. :s22:

Monitor the situation again? Now lives are lost.

I already reported to LTA many times regarding this issue over the last few years. I was almost injured multiple times by speeding e-bikes and PMD. What’s the result? Nothing is done.

If this is caused by a regular road vehicle, the driver will likely be punished with jail term + fine + driving ban.

Will be interesting to see what's the punishment be like for PAB or just a slap on the wrist.
Prob send to bicycle park to take test

SINGAPORE – An 88-year-old female pedestrian died on Sept 30 after an accident involving a power-assisted bicycle (PAB) in Hougang the day earlier.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at about 7.55am on Sept 29 at Hougang Street 51. The police added that this was in the direction of Hougang Street 91.

The police said the pedestrian was unconscious when she was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital by the SCDF. They added that she later died at the hospital on Sept 30.

A 49-year-old male PAB rider is assisting with investigations, the police said.

A post on Facebook page Singapore roads accident.com on Oct 1 appealed for witnesses. It has garnered more than 40 shares.

why not just stop ordering grab food, save some money & make walking path safer for all

Haven't ordered for a while. Even leaving aside the hate for these irresponsible riders, the prices (markup and delivery fee) are quite hard to swallow.

Don't know how so many middle income to lower middle income households are OK to pay these prices...

murder a person will get death penalty
kill a person with PMA/PMD get what? 2wk jail?

having intention to murder or not is still a loss of life.
but the penalty vastly different
so if someone pretend to cause an accident with the intention to murder how?
This is the cheat code in sinki land . Pui

Good policy by the G. PMDs and bikes can help reduce the cpf life leech pool and keep the money within the system while can collect fines from these gig workers as they work for crumbs for grab which the G are shareholders. Triple win!

Think the irony is, delivery themselves the basic fare not getting better by much.
