Hi
can check new maid (few months with us) borrow from loan shark (uml). technically she is cleared from police as they have deemed her as not assisting loan shark in anyway, so its up to me if want to keep helper or no.
we have confirmed a new helper (from same agency) as still within their exchange policy. but standard contract is that usually need to give 21 days for existing helper to find new employer in normal cases. these 21 days is like a notice period which existing helper can stay in the same employer house or stay with agency (but employer need to pay for 1st 21 days of lodging). i do not wish to let my helper know i am terminating her service.
when maid agency 1st knew about this helper loan shark issue, they say its up to me to want to still keep or send her back to her country. so now sending back to her country seems like on my onus now and from out of my pocket.
technically existing helper can still work in singapore. but i cannot imagine anyone who wants to hire her because of this loan shark issue and any agency who dare to advertise this helper.
so my question is since i am still within the free exchange policy, should i be responsible to send my helper back and paid for costs involved. or should agency take up the responsibilty and pick up the cost?
