I see, I learnt something new- clean eggs doesn’t mean it’s better. Sharing my own personal experience, usually I will buy 2 trays for 2 weeks for 4 of us (not counting those I bought for my elderly neighbour and/or mother), I will choose the longest expiry, for this instance, it’s 19th January. So around 10-14 days later, whatever is leftover I will keep in fridge, this will totally eliminate the bad eggs issue for me. Previously I just store on counter top and use up to expiry date labelled on the plastic, and I always encounter bad eggs like your case which spoil the entire pan, very pek cek, rotten eggs is faaking smelly also, need to immediately empty the rubbish bin.
if can keep 10-14 days outside means confirm the coating still there.
my spoiled eggs are when they are still "fresh" i consume a tray a week.
now i dread one day cracking open a rotten soft boiled egg
