If you intend to upgrade within the next 3 years, just hoot 32GB of DDR5 now and get the rest later. DDR5 prices will not come down anytime soon.

You will know when you test. 96GB is more demanding on the IMC so even the rated 6400 cl32 is not guaranteed.

I just plug in the ram without resetting the bios, after memory training (i think) it boot up follow the setting of my Crucial Pro 6000 CL 36 2x16GB (using Expo). After Restart, go to BIOS, i just enable XMP, and it boot up at 6400 CL 32.

Using HWInfo i checked on Infinity Fabric Clock (FCLK) shows 1996.4 Mhz while Memory Controller Clock (UCLK) shows 3194.2 Mhz.

Is this means the ram works fine? anything i should take note of?
What is the program you use to test the ram stability? can advise?

Edit: The Ram is SK Hynix M-Die, if anyone interested to know.
Edit2: set the FCLK to 2133 and run y-cruncher VT3 test only for over 30 minutes passed. How long to test ?

I use Memtest86 followed by TimeSpy stress test. The latter is a GPU test but I use it to make sure that the system is stable. I don't need y-cruncher etc for my use case.

Seems like you got a good kit from the tests so far.

Hi all,

May I know if this build from the main page hardware still ok for a build now, my current pc already having some issue on and off. Will like to build one pc to at least last hopefully passed this AI boom boom price rocket.

Yeah, so far looks good with the 1:1 and fclk of 2133. Everything runs as expected, finger crossed.
Just now did a single TimeSpy benchmark, it runs fine. I think i just use it first. only when have stability issue then check again. My target actually to get the ram run at 6000 cl 36 already good enough. anything above is bonus.

its a very decent build. Change 5600 to 5600G. Can last for at least 3 to 5 years. More if hardware does not fail you. If you like a bit of bling, go to shopee or carousell , get the AMD wraith prism cooler.

With B550 mobo, you can upgrade to better chip next time when needed.
