Asus ZenWiFi is still using Asus AImesh technology, all the nodes are the same and can function as a router, not repeater.

TP-Link Deco is using TR-Link Deco Mesh technology, all the nodes are the same and can function as a router, not repeater.

Asus AImesh and TP-Link Deco Mesh are more mature than TP-Link EasyMesh as a mesh technology.

As for the cvomparison between RT-BE92U vs Archer BE805, please refer to here. If you need a mesh solution, I will recommend to upgrade to Asus ZenWiFi BT10.

thanks chose the BE92U in the end,

the price for m1 6 gbps is still $36.90 if sign up at the shop.

Recently reported M1 10Gbps recontract offer at S$29.90 per month for a few M1 users. Other M1 users may need to pay S$34.90 per month (same for new user offer in Jan 2026).

Sorry late reply... I'm afraid am not aware of other plans from M1. The discounted 10gbps plan at $29.90 (no router) is reflected in the M1 app and also on-site in their system. So signing up was a breeze.

As for the Asus RT-BE92U router bought from Carousell, yes I was lucky. I just spammed a few listings as $200 but of course messaged the seller something nice like "Thank you for your consideration, I can self collect below your block or condo". Maybe I thick skinned or low ball, I dunno.... Willing seller willing buyer? Haha

Edit (added screenshot):

I am not billed with the new plan yet, so cannot show you proof. Tried looking at the contract, this is the breakdown...

You are right

I can see it in my app too, 29.90 for 10gbps fibre recontract. (There is also the option of 37.90 for 6gbps.)

recontracted with M1 10Gbps at $29.90 without router. Current contract ends late Feb.

Yes, just to share also that the $29.90 10gbps excludes router, but the $37.90 6gbps includes an option between included TP-Link Archer BE805 or ASUS RT-BE92 routers

Hmm. My family still watches Starhub TV stuff, so still best to simply recontract Homehub rather than going for separate Internet plans from other providers and then signing up for Starhub TV only?

Cos I tried to math this out a bit but the Homehub package like too good liao especially how they give free Netflix (family use a lot also) and waive off the TV box costs

IMHO.
MY old Samsung TV got Netflix, Disney, HBO, PrimeVideo and Samsung TV (free).
It depends on what you watch really.

Thanks, seems like we will be stuck with Starhub for another two years, thankfully at least got IPV6 and ONT support

Something new from IMDA.
The Unreleased Fibre Resolution Process typically takes about 14 business days to complete.
https://www.netlinktrust.com/faq/release-of-occupied-residential-fibre

What is the "Unreleased Fibre Issue"?
The "Unreleased Fibre Issue" occurs when the fibre port in any termination point of a residential premises is discovered to be occupied by the previous owner or tenant who no longer resides there. To address this, IMDA has mandated a formal resolution process, effective from 3 October 2025.

Eh...the ONT belong to Singtel. So if the power adaptor conked out, I call Singtel ? If I terminate, need to return the ONT ?

If power adapter died then get SingTel to replace. If terminate it is ewaste they usually don’t require you to return it.

Gone ahead to recontact Homehub+ 10gbps

90 bucks for 10gbps, Asian+ and Netflix along with free TV box rental for two years. HB710 for free along with new ONT activation as well. Used the chance to cancel the digital home line too

Hi bro, I'm also trying to find out what's the best option i can set up for my Aunt at her soon to be rental unit. She could be staying just for one year, or longer if tikam for new SBF flat fails.
Ok anyway my question is, your $90/mth is a two year contract for the whole package right? Does it include ch838 TVBJ and sports channel?

And would you know in the middle of this two years contract if she needs to relocate, i understand there is relocation charges for fibre broadband. How about the TV plan? Just move the TV box to new location?

Thanks in advance. 🙏
