Is ur dad reading pdf file? It is known to have happened for the PW to run out of memory while reading pdf. No need to power on n off. Go back to the main menu and then continue ur reading. At least that's wat I saw from a video review of the PW.

Thanks all for reply. Yah, think its PDF for his chinese books.
Did not encounter this for the older kindle versions so he's slightly miffed about this.

Not sure abt the old kindle cos the PW is my first. Try converting the pdf to mobi and see if the error occurs again.

Is there anyway to view full information about the books you have on your Paperwhite? For example, I use calibre to download metadata for all my books including summary. But in the Paperwhite, the book just opens up as soon as I hit the cover.

Any way to view full info on the book and also to view the cover in full screen? Thanks.

Not much of good books to read... Wanted to see if I can get the photography book in Kindle format instead of actual book, but does not look like it... Too bad. Back to hardcopy then.
