I feel some models with 720p and the current 6589 chip are worth buying though. Might want to wait for 6589T if you want a 1080p screen, as most models still seem to lag abit with the 6589.

hi when you say 6589 chip , what is mean? i was looking at jiayu g3 and g3s, g3s stated as 6589 and g3 is not. mean g3s has a better chip than g3

Only confusion right now is there are 1.2G and 1.5G CPU version
Someone in this thread bought the 1G/16G version but so far no review

basically the difference is MTK-T has higher clockspeed = better performance.

But to be honest, the increase in performance aint that significant and with this phone running on 1080p, every little bit helps but i still expect there to be lag issue since mtk chips aint that great on performance in the 1st place.

More depends on the rom.
I have a Lenovo S890 mtk6577 with Lewa Rom, used for a month before passing to my dad.
It is smooth with Lewa rom, comparable with Samsung S2 with 5" screen, and a much much better battery life.

Not worth the price based on its 720p screen n 1st gen mtk6589 chip. 1080p fhd screen phones are releasing soon n alot of existing models are gonna get updated with mtk-t chips at no additional cost. Hold your horses for 1-2 mths and wait for the newer models to be released and see if the older model prices may drop if u really aiming for those.

dun really think will need 1020p though i agree its priced rather high. neo n003 to be sold at rmb1,299 just dat officially available in 25jun

the latest firmware is a disaster. Notification for gmail and whatsapp were all not working. You had to open the app and it will have notifications or go to app setting to reset all app data. (This was after reading the oppo forums)

It's almost like a work in progress for their firmware or in short when you buy their phone, it's like testing it for them. The phone comes loaded with their forum app so you can just post feedback there.

End up had to revert back to the old firmware, they even apologise for their latest firmware.

So if you really want Oppo Find 5, take note that the stock FW has bugs but the good thing is that the oppo development is constantly fixing them.

I recommend using it with Paranoid Android and it's easy to root also.

I don't recommend the find 5 if you friend is not into flashing firmware, rooting, reading forums for solution.

Invest in a portable batt also, it's a must have accessory for the Find 5

Any one heard of the THL W8? Seems a reputable Company in China. think they will bring in the THL W8+

There is a bug with the Android OS though. Once you insert the SIM, you can not activate the Date/Time under systm setting.

Wait for the release of Neo 003.....gonna come with 3000mah batt and priced cheaper than iocean x7. But online retailers are just happy to mark up prices alot more since there is bigger demand for these china phones from overseas consumers.

hi, where you order? i have chat via the cso of antelife, very jia luck, ask one question, answer one and off line. but was told that the set order is not rooted and no playstore installed.

alos lke ask, if not rooting the set, possible to install playstore, i dun know how to root, just want a set with playstore for my to DL application,
