I just purchase this tablet last saturday and find it very good.
Speed wise its fast, smooth, no lag. And the MX Player I use works fine (which I download from google play store). btw my set is singapore set which I bought from challenger

next I am eyeing for the aluminium keyboard dock which can dock it like a laptop and have a nice physical keyboard. but my nexus 7 does not have screen protector, dunno whether should apply one or not

It took me just under 3.5hrs with original charger. Are u using extension plug?

But how do i do it? Google online but all just tell how to root the tablet. But when I do it, the moment I go recovery mode it hang at the screen with google word.

re-flash the latest clockwork mod recovery or team win recovery using fastboot or the nexus root toolkit,
download latest supersu and re-root (install in custom recovery)
when u try to reboot into system, and they ask if u want to prevent stock recovery from flashing, click 'no'. Only for 4.3 u have to do this last impt step

OK, did some test for 4G wifi hotspot. I get approximately 4 hours hotspot out of the tablet (battery dropped 100% to 70%) during my trip from Bukit Merah to Yishun and back via the North South line. I am on M1 4G/LTE. I would say a 12 hour hotspot is achievable.

I have no major issue with 4G/LTE except maybe some blind spot. Will test again at other locations.


Anyone knows how to change the channel for wifi hotspot? My Samung S4 has but this Nexus 7 I cannot find.

When you are at the product page, click on the link "## new" where ## is a number, then add to cart only the one from "Amazon". Amazon should really improve on this interface.

Just checking, does anybody here de Nexus 7 still have touch issues? Like sometimes having ghost touches or when you touch, the device cannot register your touch?

hmm took about 2 hours to charge from 30% to 99%
using my S4 charger.
