So far for me, after upgrading to 339 firmware, everything is working fine. I will monitor over the weekends to see if there is any issues.

It's still in the works, AtonS and NicBlais will update accordingly.

Thanks. Was the reply by NicBlais posted on VQ fibernet forum? Coz I searched the forum but was not able to find anything that suggests that VQ is working with Asus on IPv6. It's been almost a month, gauging on the efficiency of Asus, it seems that getting VQ IPv6 to work on AC68U does seem to be difficult.

It was posted on the VQ thread on the NGBN.

As for gauging on the efficiency of ASUS support on VQ IPv6, what i can say it takes 2 hands to in order to clap, just let the relevant people involved get it done. It's not an one sided affair as you might be thinking ;)

Let me list down ASUS IPv6 implementation that is working fine with the various ISPs.

1). M1 ~ IPv6 Native DHCP-PD ~ OK
2). StarHub ~ IPv6 DHCP-PD ~ testing phase
3). SingTel ~ IPv6 6to4, IPv6rd ~ OK
4). MyRepublic ~ IPv6 Native DHCP-PD ~ testing phase
5). ViewQwest ~ Static IPv6 ~ testing phase

2.4/5GHz beamforming issues

i have to disable both beamforming to ensure stable fast wifi

Shouldnt beamforming supposed to increase performance?

no idea, not for me.
it increased range, but not speed

On a separate note, only disable your 2.4/5GHz beamforming on .339 if your WiFi devices that are connected to the ASUS RT-AC68U and getting sub-par wifi performance or connectivity issues. We are aware of this and have already feedback up accordingly.

Beamforming increases range more than performance gains.

9/11/2013

Update ~ disabling beamforming doesn't impact WiFi performance much, only some users are impacted by this issue with their WiFi devices (devices varies) so ASUS HQ TW is looking in isolating what the cause of it and fixes from there.

I have done it on my ASUS RT-AC56U before :D on my Viewqwest and SingTel Fiber connections

Do you connect direct from
1.) SingTel ONT to Lan Port 1
2.) ONT to Router & then to Lan Port 1

SingTel ONT LAN port 1 ~> ASUS RT-AC56U WAN port

ViewQwest Zhone LAN port 4 ~> ASUS RT-AC56U LAN port 1

Port forwarding always cause my router to lose connection. Been trying a week without any ports forward. And all is well.

Anyone like me?

Please disable the hardware acceleration for the time being if you need to set specific ports forwarding, ASUS are working together with Broadcom on this issue in regards with the hardware acceleration module that impacting specific ports forwarding.

that prevention information is likely be due to Knox from samsung. nothing to do with asus..
