Received a call from VQ some time ago to both my home phone and mobile phone. Did not answer as I was overseas and did not want to incur roaming charges. Helper at home who answered said the CSO mentioned something like my internet plan was upgraded, although I requested no such upgrade.

Emailed sales stuff but no reply. Does the HWZ cso want to clarify the details of the call?

HWZ no direct CSO on duty like me (actually I'm not a forum rep or anything, I just have bad insomnia) but you can email cs@viewqwest.com to clarify.

If it's just a misunderstanding don't worry about it I'm sure CS will sort it out first thing tomorrow morning as they work 9-6 every day of the week.

New Application

Hi all,

I just send my new application for Fibernet 300. I saw alot of postings from HWZ of VQ reviews and technical stuffs. Is VQ really a good ISP? I am using ST 150Mbps now. I am changing over bcoz ST block alot of website for the WC 2014 live stream which makes me xtra frustrated.

Tats y I am thinking to switch to VQ which I saw their advertising on the Net. I hope I done a right choice and right now I am still waiting for their appointment call since I submit my form on 09/07/2014 Wednesday.

Hi, yes IMO VQ is best currently.

BUT, you have to understand your issue first. Are the websites you visiting geo-locked and not ST's problem? If it is, your answer actually lies with a VPN service. You could list down a few and we test for you

Am using the asus ac68u router. Was wondering if shifting the antennas make a difference to coverage? Right now all 3 are pointing upwards with 1 bent slightly to the left, one to the right & 1 upwards.

If i point the tip of 1 of the antennas to a certain direction, would it have stronger signal at that general area?

TBH there won't be much difference as the AC68U already has high transmit power and high quality receive amplifiers built in as well.

Well i have been using my mobile apps to watch the wc 2014. At 1st i use ST fiber and its ok to watch. After a few matches i cant connect at all. So i tried my m1 3G connection alternately. To my surprise it works!!

At 1st i am tiking maybe is the server down. But is not!! This is how i deduce from it. N thanks to ST for letting me noe wat kind of services u provided for me for this past 20yrs. I am tied up to ST bcoz of the email domain i have been using for this past 20yrs. But i have decided to let go n use a new email domain. I called them about using back my ST email domain n the answer is "You have to subscribe our ISP service b4 u can use back ur email domain." As their customer for 20yrs, i do expect something beter from them but its still a NO!!. So i decide to come over vq.

It would be good if you can drop by 200 Bukit Timah Road (7 days a week, 9am-6pm), maybe after lunch or something.

That way you can try out the broadband as well as any sites or apps you want, before committing to anything :)

The CSO on duty can intro you to the services as well as the freedom VPN supported streaming websites, as well as the bundled hardware available.

i have been to the showroom at SLS and the staff Gary Sui had demo me the VQ android TV box which is very appealing!! (Might buy more if the streaming is good in my area....need to test out 1st).

I do hope that maintainence is not so frequent for vq fibernet as so far I use ST fiber, its always up 99.99% all the time.(tats the only good point)
