i've checked, doesn't seem like i overlooked anything elseDon't need. You might want to check your PC settings itself as well, eg has your PC IP address changed since when NOC helped you create the port forward.
However I managed to traceroute ds.test-ipv6.com so I'm not sure where it's dying.

where is that new pedobear. I waiting for him till teng kok kok liao. why new thread he haven't come in repork yet!

its on ground floor of SLS, near one of the entrances. wont miss one, maybe Mr.monkey can say exactly where.
You enter from the Albert complex side (cross road), it's that entrance.

I have been a ViewQwest customer for quite a while now, and today I called up the tech support because I was getting a very slow connection last night, and this morning, I can't connect at all. So before I left for work, I checked the unit, cables, and restarted the unit a few times.
I then called up tech support, and reported my issue, and according to them, they are unable to detect my unit. However, they will not dispatch a tech to my house until they have done some basic troubleshooting. I told him I am not at home, but he said he can't send a tech unless I complete the troubleshooting. So I asked him what are the steps in the troubleshooting. He mentioned if the cables are ok. I said yes, I checked them this morning, and I could connect to the unit itself, so the cables must be good. He then stopped and said there is no way I can verify that if I am not at home. To make the story short, he refused to troubleshoot anymore, and told me there is nothing that can be done. When I asked to speak to the manager, he said I need to wait for a call back, usually between 24 - 48 hours.
I cannot imagine this is the level of support I am getting from ViewQwest, and that they expect us to be happy with a callback after 24 - 48 hours, and that I am to be without internet access for a few more days after. I thought we are paying for a premium service here, but the support I am receiving are below standard. I hope someone from ViewQwest will be able to look into this, and correct it from within.
probably this is the reason why - unreachable prohibited 2001:470:1:18::119 @ 2001:7fa:0:1::ca28:a101 [rs1.hkix.net]

Are you on Mac OS? You can try the following steps:i've checked, doesn't seem like i overlooked anything else
i've set the ip address of the PC to static, updated zhone to port forward to that static ip address
telnet localhost <forwarded port>
macbook:~ andrew$ telnet localhost 44822
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
I PM'ed you the good news liaozkorkor rmb help me check for the email confirmation for the appointment. 3rd time amongst my friends that the appointment confirmation nvr came :<
Replied ur PM le korkor
nope, i'm on windowsAre you on Mac OS? You can try the following steps:
1. Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal)
2. Type the following command, followed by Enter key:
3. You should see something similar to the following if the port on your computer is open:Code:telnet localhost <forwarded port>
Code:macbook:~ andrew$ telnet localhost 44822 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'.
If it is stuck at "Trying 127.0.0.1..." then it means your software is not listening on the port.
You can do the same thing on Windows (telnet check), however you need to go to Programs and Features > Add/remove Windows features > select Telnet client.nope, i'm on windows
but the "PC" i'm trying to do port forwarding is a synology NAS, for vpn server
what i did was:
1) the NAS is set to static ip e.g. 192.168.1.99
2) set port forwarding rules on NAS
3) set port forwarding rules on zhone, pointing to private ip 192.168.1.99
VQ NOC updated firmware of my zhone this morning
tried with portcheckers in office and wasn't working, i'll try to restart the NAS later when i get back home
nopeYou can do the same thing on Windows (telnet check), however you need to go to Programs and Features > Add/remove Windows features > select Telnet client.
Eh anyway you should not need to port forward on the NAS itself :S was the port forward working before the firmware upgrade?
