i usually buy anchor butter. president butter also as well haha. my fridge got ard 20 of them haha

President butter is from France. AFAIK, it's not from grass fed cows. Stick to Anchor butter or any other brand from NZ.

Can also try Kerry Gold - the "gold" standard for grass-fed butter according to the paleo sphere :s13:

Hmm, I don't recall seeing Kerry Gold at NTUC or NTUC finest; will look for it this Fri or Sat when I do my groceries.

Check the label/wrapping to see if it's from NZ. AFAIK, only NZ butter is grass fed. Australia, Denmark etc and the rest are all grain fed - this means the omega 3 content is lower.

should be grass-fed

http://www.scsdairy.com/~scsdairy/i...Back/Know-your-SCS-butter-better-[260214].pdf

 Vitamin K2 found in grass-fed butter (like SCS Butter) may reduce heart attack risk.
 Vitamin A and vitamin E found in butter both play a strong
anti-oxidant role.
 Butter is a very rich source of selenium, a vital anti-oxidant containing more per gram
than herring or wheat germ.

No, the SCS website doesn't specifically say that the butter is from grass fed cows. Also SCS butter is blended with canola oil which isn't exactly healthy, to say the least.

http://draxe.com/canola-oil-gm/

This is in contrast to the Anchor website:

http://anchorbutter.com/

You need to really dig for the info; if it's not specifically mentioned that the butter is from grass fed cows, skip it.

If it doesn't specifically say grass fed butter or butter from grass fed cows, skip it!

I emailed Zac Butchery, they just replied and said their butter is from grass-fed cows

their price is like 60% cheaper comparing to other brand

You really need to scrutinize what is said on the PDF to see if it's REALLY grass fed, grain fed or just another crap spread:

What’s so special about SCS Spreadable Butter?
 New formula and packaging
 Blended with canola oil
 No artificial colouring
 Low in trans-fat
 Creamier and smoother and more easy to
spread

Rich in vitamins: Canola oil contains vitamins E and K, which protect from free radicals and aid in blood clotting.

Enough said...

For me when buying butter:

1st - I go the website.
2nd - I scrutinize what the packaging says

No grass fed, no go! :D
