icic. where is the RMA centre for asus routers?

I tried the Merlin FW. still stuck in reboot loop. thanks a lot for your advice.

merlin is just a variant of the original asus firmware so flashing to merlin is no different from updating the original firmware, so all the internal mechanism never really got re-flashed.

You cannot RMA with a 3rd party firmware I think, try to install the stock firmware if you can.

The service centre for Asus routers is at kallang. You might want to refer to avertek website..

I think the last firmware i tried was a official Asus one. aite. will head to avertek tmr afternoon and see if they help me

Hi, is there any firmware that can allow me to restrict bandwidth by device? Basically i want to reduce the bandwidth/speed that a certain laptop can use,not the time where it can go online. I am aware of the QOS feature on the stock firmware but that is not what i am looking for. Would the merlin/tomato firmware has any feature like this? Thanks :)

Can share what is your router setting? I have re contact M1 1Gbps, but my download speed around 250 Mbps, upload speed around 800 Mbps.

Direct connect to ONT can download speed hit 900 Mbps.

bump this thread, i have the same problem as the guy above. But one thing i have tried is changing the router mode to AP mode which speedtest shows dl speed can hit 900+ Mbps. After changing back to wireless router mode the dl speed drop back to 240Mbps max. Any solutions? i have also tried updating the firmware to ASUS-Merlin's version but the issue still persists

Make sure the HW acceleration on your router is enabled.

Check your QoS, if it's on try to disable it, reset and re-try.

I restore to default settings and update the firmware.

No more 250 ++ download speed cap.

Help this help the rest who face the same problem as me.
