I have the auto shutdown issue n phone has been with svc ctr for more than 2 weeks..
How is it acceptable for a phone to auto shutdown, and cannot be powered on without charging? And the battery life is not as fantastic as advertised.

I have the same shutdown issue and send my phone to service center. From what i saw on gsarena both dual sim and single sim is affected. I had shutdown of at least 10time. Some say it was due to lte and switch to gsm would solve the issue but i not that sure. Another problem i have is the camera is not available. I thnking of asking for a upgrade to another model if my phone come back with the same issue otherwise i would just trade in the phone for a z5p.

My repaired phone came back with the same issue. They cannot offer upgrade, but can try refund. Better than sticking with the piece of junk. Perhaps we should raise this to case on the lemon law?

i suspect the shutdown could be due to the memory card , recently I encountered it as well which need to plug to the power supply to power on it back..

but after some testing it still having the same problem....

after reset to factory setting it seem behaved normal again ... for now

send in for repair this morning

Read from other forums the course of the shut down is due to the battery, after replace of the battery no more shutting down issue. Kindly confirm since your set also changed battery do you still facing shutting down issue.

Thanks

my phone was working fine for months and it started to have this shutdown thing since Nov , since returning from service centre no shutting down but need to monitor as it happened intermittently before.

update : noticed something different after repair , my stock camera app using manual mode between take always very lag but now seem very fast.

Saw it listed online at $480 with model E5663 Sony warranty set.

Keen too but worried about the faulty battery assembly still.
