In sg, you need to keep a copy of the receipt to claim warrenty. It is hard for Courts to check their records unless you are their member. Do u know that Mi Tv has no warranty and no service centre here? If unluckily the tv is faulty after 1 or 2 mths then what can be done? No warranty.
Not necessary for Panasonic, that's my personal experience. Just give your particulars at the service centre, they locate your purchase record and process your request accordingly. They don't ask for receipt.

HN extended warranty call centre also do the same. Just need to know the details and they will do the job.

Hi! Have a Samsung UA55D7000 not powering on at all. Was away for almost a year, but just before I left, it was still powering on although it had a green vertical line across the screen...
Can any bros advise if this TV is still salvageable? Out of warranty le... Sigh... A lot of electronics spoil after coming back. Hoping to avoid cost of replacement.

LG 55LE5700

Hi,

I have a LG 55LE5700 bought in mid 2010, just blacked out on us one fine day. It can be powered on using remote and even the 'front touch screen panel' on tv has the beeping sound when pressed but just black screen (no image). Anyone has any idea what could be the issue and is it worth repairing? It was quite expensive when i bought it in 2010...:(

Last night my 5 1/2 years old LG 42PJ250R (a Plasma that was very highly recommended by bros here for its picture quality) lit a firecracker and went black. Funny thing is the Standby lamp then came on. It looked like I could turn it back on. So I daringly tried. It "piang!" again before going off. lol.

Going thru this thread I think it's best I just dump it and buy a new one.

But...

Does anyone know how to dispose a TV?

Can I get a few bucks out of it?

Thanks.

Samsung power board

My 46" Samsung LED tv cannot power on and red Standby light doesn't light up.

2 of the T6.3A fuses on the power board had blown so I bought replacement from Sim Lim Tower to replace.
When I turn the power on, the fuses blow immediately.

Decided to buy power board (BN44-00357B) from Aliexpress.com but the sellers want to send BN44-00357A saying it's for same use.

I'm wondering if anywhere in Singapore where I can buy TV power supply board?

Already mentioned earlier that this Tv is not under any warranty as it is mainly for use in China. Do not think there is spare parts sold in Singapore. It is either mother broad or power broad spoilt.

Most of the companies will verify receipt and i only come across HN extended warranty who do not need to see receipt. Sony Tv also see receipt on first visit.

Extended warranty is basically a insurance plan. They just need to policy number extact from their system as your original warranty is likely finished already.

If the TV is still under the warranty period. They will call the agent to do the servicing. You will still have to show the receipt.
